Siesta Beach, located in Siesta Key, offers a range of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy. The beach features fine white quartz sand that stays cool even in hot weather. In addition to the beautiful beach, there is a playground and tennis courts available for recreational purposes. Year-round lifeguards ensure the safety of beachgoers.
One of my all-time favorite beaches. The beach is big and wide with life guards and has volleyball nets. This beach has a huge parking lot but it fills up fast on nice weather days. Its a long walk from parking lot to the water. There are concession stands and restrooms on site. Great sunsets here!!!

This is now one of my favorite beaches in the US! Such a quiet and chill beach! It’s clean, family friendly but also we didn’t feel like we were over run with children. The water was warm and beautiful. The sand was powdery soft and not grainy like most beaches. The waves were pretty calm for the most part. They have free parking and nice accommodations with shops and a lot to do. I really enjoyed myself and can’t wait to return. Definitely check them out! Worth the trip to have such a relaxing day on the water!

The Gulf coast of the US are home to some of the best beaches in the country and this beach is right there at the top . The sand is soft, white and sugary. The Emerald colored water is very clear. A must visit beach for sure.

Beautiful beach with food and drinks on site. Showers and clean bathrooms. A little hike to the beach but we liked the calm waves and warm water on gulf. Will have no trouble parking if you get there before noon but after that the lot fills up from what we noticed.

Beautiful beach w beautiful sand and view. A lot of people walking the beach, that was nice. Clean and Clear water. Love that they have a concession stand w breakfast in the menu. I had a bagel breakfast sandwich, it hit the spot and they tables you can sit and eat at. They have a small nice souvenir shop.

Super soft, powdery sand. Water is nice temperature and pretty clear. Many little fish swimming around. Didn’t see any crabs, hermit crabs, jellyfish, etc. pretty sure we saw a manatee pop up not too far from the shoreline. The main part of the beach has lifeguards on duty. That area can become very congested. We went way further down and it was so relaxing. Beautiful views. Watched sunset but the views were limited due to clouds that night. Attempted to watch sunrise but it was difficult due the the building on that side. Definitely softer send than turtle beach. Would recommend turtle beach if you’re looking for shells. Siesta Key beach did have some shells, but did not find as many large ones.Tons of local shops and great restaurants nearby! Check out my other reviews for food recommendations!

Great beach, sand feels so soft and it doesn’t get hot. Water was clear and just warm enough. No issues finding parking but we arrived after 2pm. We stayed to watch the sunset and it did not disappoint.

It is the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen. Perfect white sand is so thin and delicate. Stays cool even in the high heat. Just Perfect.

Coming from the East coast beaches, Siesta Key was a refreshing change from the heavy, pounding waves at Cocoa beach, Melbourne beach, Sebastian Inlet and Vero Beaches. The waves at Siesta Beach are relaxing and hardly any current to worry about taking you away. Waist to chest deep clear cool water make it nice to cool off after laying in the sun. Of all the beaches I have been to in Florida, this is my favorite. I will be visiting again.

Wow! It was my first time visiting Siesta Key Beach! I had heard it was one of the top ten in the world 🌎 Now I see why! White sand as far as the eye can see and turquoise Gulf of Mexico water! I was in the 88° water for a little over an hour. It was incredibly nice and beautiful. Pristine and clean! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend!

I have been going to Siesta Key Beach for years! It is, in my opinion, the best beach in the United states. The quartz sand is baby powder soft and bright white! The waters are crystal clear and have the most beautiful aqua blue color due to the quartz sand reflecting under the water. It is so beautiful, it's like being on a Caribbean island. Siesta Key is the only Beach I will go to in the United states. No other Beach compares.

Linda and I drove down from Longboat Key to Siesta Key Beach to see for ourself the famous white sand. It was unbelievably soft to walk on and regardless of how hot the day became, you could still walk on the white quartz sand without burning your feet. We had an awesome time with plenty of free parking, restroom and outdoor showers and the water was just great! If we had more time, would definitely consider spending another day at the #1 beach in the USA!

One of the most amazing beaches of the world. The smoothest and most white sand I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend to have your sunglasses with you because the white sand is reflecting the sun so much. And if you want to enjoy the water, don’t forget an umbrella or a pavilion to have some shadow. I highly recommend going to the beach on weekdays because on weekends it’s very full. And if you can manage it enjoy the beach in the early morning when you can look at the sea and the sun rises to your left, this is an awesome start into the day and you won’t be alone.

Nearly 80 degrees today. Water tempt was in 60s, possibly 70s. Food. Folks. Fun. Families. Vendors. Clean restrooms. Volleyball. Swim. Shop. Competitive parking. Patience. Follow the arrows. Avoid ignoring the DO NOT ENTER signs in the parking lot. Be kind and avoid stealing parking spaces from other patrons. Be nice.

Siesta Key Beach is beautiful. I love parking at different beach accesses along the beach because the main lot can be crazy on the weekends. This particular day was after a huge storm so there was wildlife washed up on shore, amazing shells and the water was choppy.Siesta is a large beach and no matter where you park, it is a bit of a walk to the water so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, the sand is silky smooth and it is a beautiful place to spend the day and go shelling.I would get there extra early on the weekends and plan to spend off peak times there during season from October to April.

From the moment you set foot on the beach, you are greeted by a sense of tranquility and beauty that is unmatched. The water is clear and inviting, ideal for swimming or simply soaking up the sun. With its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, it's no wonder why Siesta Beach is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the US.

I've visited Siesta Key Beach multiple times with family and friends, and we've always cherished our time there.Siesta Key is a stunning white-sand beach, perfect for relaxing and taking in the breathtaking sunset. The colors that linger in the sky after the sun dips below the horizon are truly unforgettable.Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets to make the most of your time with loved ones while soaking in the beautiful views. Whenever you're in the area, don't miss the chance to experience a sunset at Siesta Key--it's a sight you'll always remember.

I have been to a lot of beaches in the US and never seen a beach this clean and water crystal clear like in Siesta Key. The area is wonderful. The parking was easy to find and free to park. We met a lot of people from different cities in the US visiting #1 beach in the country and I agree now, it is indeed number 1.Plenty of space for people to sit and enjoy. The washrooms were nice and clean. I’m very blessed and happy to visit such wonderful beach. ❤️

This is literally the best beach for both locals & tourists! Plenty of space for everyone. Parking lot is large. Restrooms, tables, chairs under the shade. The white sand that never gets hot! The SAND IS UNIQUE here - quartz that washes down in rivers from the Appalachian mountains! Unique other beach sand made from corals/shells that gets HOT & burns your feet. Tons of little corkscrew shells! People fishing day & night (shark fishing). Treasure hunters with metal detectors after everyone leaves. Perfect beach for early morning walk or a night walk under the full moon! Just beautiful! We saw yellow crowned night heron, skimmers, sea gulls, snowy egret. PeopleRiding e-bikes with large thick wheels. So many families, couples etc. the beach is lined with hotels, condos & private homes. Showers, foot wash station. Perfection!

We had a great time here in Siesta Key beach. Is a great place for you and your family, couples, or by yourself. The soft white sands feel like I am stepping on power sugar. There's free parking, bathrooms, and a place to buy food, drinks, and ice if you so desire.

This beach was beautiful! It may have been super busy but the sand and water was amazing. The sand was super white, soft, and it wasn't hot when you walked on it. My fiance and I had a great time relaxing at this beach and playing in the waves. We also saw dolphins!

The most beautiful beach in the world! Our place is on the private access part of the island, however the public side of the beach is amazing as well! They have a place to eat, buy souvenirs etc right as you enter the public beach. As well as PLENTY OF PARKING SPACES, HOWEVER DURING THE PEAK TIMES OF THE YEAR GET THEIR EARLY BECAUSE THE PARKING DOES FILL UP QUICK.

Excellent camp ground for youth scout camping and to the looks of it great for family camping. Gas stations within 15 min drive for ice and other things along with a Walmart about 20 minutes away. Great roads for bike rides and also plenty of good views with alot of alligator sitings. Make the 1 hr trip to peace river if you can and dig for some fossils when the water is low!

The campsite was huge and well cleared with plenty of flat spots for tents; the water out of the spigot was delicious and clean and didn't have that standard Florida sulfur taste; the state park staff was extremely accommodating and helpful; and the site was secluded from other campers. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Nature & Parks
The Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is a nonprofit marine research institution dedicated to studying and protecting the world's oceans. With a focus on research and education, they have a small but passionate team of marine scientists committed to conservation. The aquarium offers unique experiences such as a touch tank with stingrays, a shark tank, and an adjacent mammal center where visitors can observe manatees.
Purchase tickets online for specific time slots. Aquarium is located in 2 separate buildings with a short walk from each other. The main building has lots of small exhibits, my favorite was octopus. He was great, presenting a show with all it's awesome legs, swimming, and constantly moving. The second building has large exhibits for turtles and manatees. We saw newborn turtles, literally just days old. I couldn't imagine that baby turtles are so small (less than 2 inches long).
Vadim R — Google review
Awesome marine lab and aquarium. Both in and outdoor display are well organized. Kids loved the petting places where they could touch the sting rays, sharks, starfish, sea cucumbers etcManatees are such a huge attraction. The volunteers and staff are very helpful. The tickets can be expensive but you get 50% off if you have a zoo membership somewhere. You can also get discounts for your boat tours with your mote tickets if you want to do the tour next or later. No food allowed inside but water is welcome. There are places for your to get your water refilled. And a cafeteria in case you get hungry.Expect a couple hours to go over everything. Lot of walking involved for sure. But come have fun with your kids.

Decided to visit the aquarium and we were not disappointed. Once you walk in and round the corner, it shows you all the different tanks of fish they have. They also had small pools meant for gently handling the different species. That took us and hour. But wait, there's another building!Manatee, otters, turtles and more. The whole experience took roughly 2 hours and it was fun!Highly recommend to all ages.

We have been to this aquarium three times already and we love it everytime. It's nothing grand compared to larger aquariums but it's great for a small family trip if wanting to go to an aquarium. Everything looks clean and the animals look like they're well taken care of. Employees are very nice and helpful. I highly recommend coming here!

Free experience and love that they are doing some good. Kids watched the pelican feeding which was fun and also free. Something nice to do for an hour or so if you're killing a little time between beach hopping.

Do not miss!!! My favorite aquarium ever. Lovely staff well taken care of animals and equipment. I got to pet 6 different kinds of fish. They have Sharks, jellies, otters, manatee. And tons more Even a bird sanctuary! Really cute gift shop.

Second timer, but it's been a while. Pretty stellar spot -- was pretty spread out and they now have two buildings that you can walk between. Definitely thought that was a cool new addition.Had several exhibits that I felt you could sit and enjoy for a while, including the river otters that were quite amusing.Different activities for all ages, including a virtual reality experience, several touch tanks, opportunities to feed some birds, and a gem mining experience to name a few. They have a restaurant on site with basic items and have both inside and outdoor seating areas. There is also a very large area for events and/or kiddos to get the wiggles out.Highly recommend.

Visited on a holiday weekend was not too crazy busy and was able to see all the exhibits.Staff was super friendly and welcomed us with a smile. All the animals looked happy and well cared for. The otters were playing and being goofy water puppies. 🤣🤣Would recommend for couples or families with kiddos.

This was a great little side trip to take a break from the sun. There was a large variety of sea life and the volunteers were very friendly and informative. I especially love the sea turtles! My only disappointment was there was only one Manatee.

This was an amazing aquarium!!!! This place was packed with all kinds of things to see. When you thought you were done, there was another building and then an entire bird area. I could have stayed and watched the Cuddlefish forever because they are absolutely bizarre creatures. We got to watch them clean and scrub the turtles' backs, and saw the biggest manatee named "Buffett" I have ever seen.

I was in the area just for a weekend and wanted to do something for fun but at the same time where I can learn something new.Amazing place to learn more about the marine ecosystem. 🐟🐠🐡🦈I loved the whole experience and definitely recommend it for all ages. We need to take care of our marine environment for the sake of future generations.

Nice aquarium with three different sections - Fish, Birds and animals. You can touch sting rays, sea cucumbers, star fish, sea urchins etc. bird section has various birds and animal section has turtles, manatee, alligator, otters etc. staff is friendly and the facility is well maintained. There is a small cafeteria inside.
Priyanka J — Google review
Took a day trip out to the aquarium and was very surprised about the variety of animals! Large enough to spend at least an hour or two there but still have plenty of the day left! Just as a heads up if there is no parking in the main lot go to the boat slip parking and park there, save the hassle of driving around hoping for a close spot!
Adam Z — Google review
This is a fantastic place to visit if you are visiting the area. Took my kids for a little relief from the sun. They had a blast. Went first thing in the morning it wasn't crazy busy. It did get really busy while we were leaving. Spent about 2 hours here. My only word of caution is the manatee and turtles are in a separate building about a 5 min walk so if you park in the first lot and you have someone who can't walk long distances in the heat jump back in the car and drive to the other lot closer to that building.
Nicole B — Google review
I have been upwards of four times and loved it each visit! Wide variety of wildlife, information, and interactive activities. I spoke to a few volunteers, who were all super knowledgeable and sweet- one had been volunteering there for 15 years! There was also a section on the history of the research center and aquarium that was fascinating. It was very crowded, as I went on a holiday, but that did not affect my experience. Points off for the cost (I understand that aquarium upkeep takes funding) and the fact that there were countless additional activities that cost extra. Would definitely go again, but it would be much more frequent with a reduced cost/student discount!
Abby J — Google review
Nice aquarium with lots to see. Not too busy when I went, though sound can be overwhelming at times. There's also a walk between buildings as there are two sections. Overall nice aquarium.
Lorelei — Google review
I thought I had been to just about all aquariums and seen it all. Boy was I wrong when I went to this aquarium. Very very educational. A wealth of information regarding sea life and opportunities to see them up close as they may be in recovery or a permanent residents due to injuries matters. I probably could have stayed there from the time they open till they closed. I highly recommend this place for anyone, whether you're single dating married or on a family vacation. Definitely stop by this place!
Stephanie M — Google review
This was my third visit to this aquarium, each time taking visiting family members. We had two kids under 10 in our party. I was disappointed in the pricing for kids at $21. Nevertheless, the aquarium is cool, with a manatee, sharks, rays, and huge turtles. Some of the exhibits (like the Ray tank) are interactive. There are many volunteers who are helpful in describing things and were quite informative. Overall, it was a good place and cool experience. I'm sure I'll be back.
Michael D — Google review
This is a fantastic Aquarium! We drive 3 hours to come and visit, and it was well worth the drive. I loved the variety of species. All critters looked well cared for, and everything was clean. I didn't know there were dwarf Cuttlefish, and they may have been my favorite. They changed colors and did the moving stripes patterns, too. We were lucky enough to be watching them at feeding time. That was fun! Shifting for shark teeth was great fun, too. There are 2 touch tanks. In one, you get to touch a shark! How cool is that! The staff and volunteers were very friendly and talkative. All seemed happy to be working or volunteering there. Loved seeing the preserved Giant Squid. Sharks, eels, Axolotis, large variety of fish, birds, otters, Alligator, Manatee, Loggerhead Turtles, Octopus, snake, ..... that's just some of what you will see. They have a 50's Diner that is a great place to eat. $12.95 gets you a cheeseburger and fries. It's a big, juicy burger. I would go to a restaurant that served that burger if it wasn't inside the aquarium. Diner had friendly staff and was clean. I can't say enough good things about Mote Marine. Very family friendly, and we will be back!

This is an older, small aquarium and marine biology research facility founded in the 1950’s. You’ll see sharks and jellyfish and a touch pool. Pose by the massive jaws of the Megalodon Shark. There is a snack bar and gift shop. Take the time to read the signage by the displays — they are very informative. This is a great place to bring the kids!Mote is building a huge modern aquarium just off of I-75 that’s scheduled to open next year.

The Ringling Museum of Art is one of the most iconic and well-known art museums in the United States. The museum houses a spectacular collection of art and cultural objects, including paintings, sculptures, and decorative pieces from around the world. It's also home to one of the best circus museums in the world.
A nice chance to walk around a Franco-Italian piazza from 100 years ago, managed and maintained very nicely. One ticket gets you into almost the entire grounds usually, and my little nephews (7 & 8) and I really enjoyed the Summer Circus Spectacular before making the most of our day. The show was excellent. It’s very intimate in a small theater, no three-ring circus. This is so much the better! The clowns draw you in and make you feel they’ve prepared the show for you alone. The woman from Ethiopia is an incredible juggler, and we also loved seeing the balancing act, acrobats from Ukraine on the double swings, and the acrobat on the long silk rope. We had cheesy macaroni and fish tacos respectively for lunch, but the museum and playground, and we walked through the mansion turned art museum. Fantastic day even in 100 degrees. A great place to talk a walk-and-talk!We bought tickets when we walked up, but we got there exactly at 10AM.

An incredible story that in my opinion should be on the Historic sites list. The story of Ringling family is a story of the American dream. The docents are treasures in themselves! The tour of the entire house is well worth every penny. There Art museum is jaw dropping and the Circus History Museum evokes the wonder of a child. Didn't make it to the Glass museum. I encourage planning on a whole day event, bring water, and comfortable shoes.

I lived in Sarasota for 5 years and I never went to this place. However after having move away I always come back every year to visit, and this year I made sure to visit to John and Mabel Ringling aren't museum. Just so you know, admission is free on Mondays so we decided to go on a Monday. Even though there were a lot of people there, the place is so massive that you never really feel crowded. I was able to leisurely view the entire grounds without feeling rushed or crowded. The inside of this place is just as beautiful as the outside. Be sure to hit up all of the wings of the museum. If you're facing the courtyard they are both to the right and left. The house is also gorgeous (Ca d' Zan), But we did not pay to actually tour it. Despite this you can still walk out on the back porch of the home and enjoy the beautiful views. Definitely would recommend!

Wonderful art museum and grounds, as well as a circus museum and opulent house in which they lived. This is a full day’s visit. We went on Monday, when the art museum is free, but still paid for the circus museum. Great collection of renaissance art, some Asian art and more recent stuff. Circus museum is a novelty but very interesting to learn the culture. Staff is friendly everywhere.

The whole show was amazing from beginning to end! We loved the trapeze and live singing and dancers and bikes and the cannon and the audience participation parts!! The whole show was great! I am so glad the circus is back. They went away for a while because they didn't have a big enough audience so I hope people will go and cheer and clap and yell and have a great time. Definitely fun for all ages! Tickets are still available in most places! *And you Gen A'rs out there (yes, I'm calling you out) please clap.🤨 You can't just stare at them like you'd stare at a screen. Please and thank you!!😀

Absolutely gorgeous place. Would go again any day. Be prepared to walk a lot so bring comfortable shoes. If it’s humid and hot you might not enjoy the gardens fully but the museum is incredible. Could spend the whole day there. The James Turrell exhibit is a must.

We came to Sarasota Florida, especially to see the Ringling brothers museum and spend the day. We arrived for our 10:30 welcome house tour to see floors 1 & 2; then proceeded to Grill room for relaxing lunch; onto buildings one and two of the circus museum. We went to Mables for a coffee break upstairs above the gift shop and then finished with the art museum. We didn’t leave the property till 430. It was a wonderful day strolling inside and outside seeing architecture, statues, gardens, artwork and learning circus history.I left with a newfound respect and understanding for the circus, for the Ringings and for their efforts in using their resources for collecting art and donating their legacy to the state of Florida.Definitely worth our time.

I am so happy we decided to go here. We had such a great time. For years I thought it was just a museum about the circus or clowns but it's so much more. Firstly, there is a museum about the history of the circus and it was honestly very interesting and I learned a lot I never knew about the circus. The miniatures were awesome. The gardens are huge and absolutely gorgeous. Definitely worth taking a walk around. There's a huge playground for the kids but I didn't visit it. The mansion was intricate and beautiful and definitely worth seeing. And after all that, there's still the museum you have to see. I think there are 31 galleries plus the Asian arts building and the courtyard. It was definitely an all day adventure for us. I had a great time. 🎪🤡

I didn't think I would like this place but...Wow! The miniature model of a working circus (at least 1500 square ft), and the incredible detail, was worth the price of admission alone. Very interesting place with beautiful gardens/grounds to walk around and relax. Nice little restaurant overlooking a pond that has pretty good food too.

This place is a MUST VISIT if you come to Sarasota. The circus exhibitions, history, and details have exceeded my expectations. Ca'D'Zan Palace was breathtaking. The architecture, details, furnishings, and location were stunning. This will give you a different perspective on the life of the circus.

This is probably one of the most unique and creative museums I've ever been to. It focuses on the history of circuses, which you don't often think about. The absolute scale and painstaking detail that went into the miniatures are crazy impressive and aesthetic. Theres also some pretty fun interactive elements to the museum as well. The shore is also within walking distance of this museum, and it's absolutely gorgeous.

This museum was excellent. So unexpected & interesting. Beautifully presented. Lovely gardens. Grille restaurant had delicious food. The miniature circus room was fantastic !I was never a follower of circus information, but this was fascinating !After 3 hours of circus & house tour there wasn't enough time for the art museum. You can easily spend 3-5 hours & not see everything.2pm on a Thursday was perfect. Not too many people.A definite must location to explore.

The kids (ages 2 to 12) and I enjoyed the circus museum. They enjoyed the interactive portions and the miniatures the most. The adults and the 12 year old liked the art museum. There is an outdoor playground with picnic tables and a water feature. This was a nice place to take a break and let the kids play.

So I accidentally chose to come on a day when 500+ school age kids and families were here for free backpacks. However, very very few actually ventured inside to the galleries. I had an Amazing visit. The temporary exhibits were so inspiring!!

There are tons of reviews about this place online. What else I can mention? If you are in the area, absolute must to visit. Easy to navigate and find it. Parking is super convenient and plenty of spaces on the property. No reason to buy tickets in advance. Lines are short and staff is very quick and professional. Price is $25 pp. Prepare to spend at least 2-3 hours there. Lots to see and a lot of stuff you can’t find anywhere. It’s a huge park and be prepared to walk a lot. They have very cool cafeteria/bar with choices of beer and snacks, which is very helpful to re-fuel after walking for hours.Good luck and happy travels!

This place has something for everyone - the circus museums have tons of cool exhibits and information. The art museum is incredible. There are gardens, water views, a playground, and more! We spent 3.5 hours here and didn't get to see everything - this can be an all-day activity and you can absolutely get your money's worth. Highly recommended!

Mondays are "free museum day" to enter the art galleries. Huge tapestry size paintings and nice collection of art. The Center of the U-shaped museum has a large outdoor courtyard with statues, greenery, and shaded walking areas on the building's inner edges. Restoration efforts have preserved the original charm of this building and surrounding gardens. Many sights to see on the Ringling estate in addition to the art. Visitor's entrance to the museum grounds includes a gift shop and sit-down restaurant.

Beautiful museum, beautiful grounds, beautiful art, incredibly nice employees. Need I say more? The art museum on its own rivals many of the great museums- perhaps not in quantity, but in breadth and display they belong among the best. When the rooms themselves are works of art, you can loose yourself for hours. The glass exhibit was unexpectedly moving! If you’re a fan of the tv show Blown Away, you’ll love this exhibit.I came on a free Monday and was thoroughly satisfied. It cannot be understated what a gift John Ringling gave to the community and future generations by making every Monday free. Art always inspires the soul and is best served when everyone can experience it.I will certainly be back to experience the rest of this place bc they clearly are a top notch organization. Even the bathroom tile was delightful!

The artist himself gives tours of his aluminum castle & collection of art made from recycled items.
This place was such a hidden gem! The family that owns it is a great family. Their heart is in it. Listen closely to the tour. I visisited with my two children 10 & 12 and they got many of the well written puns that flow with the art work- if I say more, I'll spoil it! The grounds are well kept, and beautiful for pictures. The boat on a moat/ pirate ship restaurant was homey, clean, and old Florida. The food was great, southern style. We loved the ice cream desserts, we had after the tour. . Angie was our server and she was the kindest, the other waitress was super kind too, the service was great. All clean! It was touching to get to talk to the staff and owners. One of my favorites was right before they end the tour you'll see a beautiful dining room with a door to nowhere. I highly recommended this place for a family, friends or date night. Go before July ends!

It is in the middle of nowhere but definitely worth checking out. I purchased the package tour deal. Be prepared for lots of corny dad jokes about the amazing unique artwork. You only get to see the first floor of the castle. The tour of cars is interesting but you are kept away from the cars. No pictures are allowed inside the buildings which is disappointing. The gift shop has some really cool items. I had planned to eat at the restaurant but ran out of time since it was a 2 hour drive back to Tampa.

Unique place to go. Alot of Solomons own artwork on display. Very creative metal and wood work. A huge antique car collection and great food.

CASH ONLY. Staff was not very friendly, plus everything is overpriced, you’d think you’d get more for your money. There is a lot of cool art to see including the massive aluminum castle in the middle of the property.

I highly recommend this little magical escape. Feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, sort of is. The story of Mr. Solomon and the art he left behind is unbelievable. I visited here 11 years ago and again today. This adventure stayed with me for the past 11 and was just as amazing today. The castle is made of recycled items. There are 2 guided tours with fantastic guides. The restaurant, the boat in a moat is excellent. Great Ruben, potatoe salad and great chef salads. Eat indoors or out on their porch.I highly recommend going down the unbeaten path and filling your cup up with magic.

Solomon's Castle was a unique and cool experience. Solomon's metal art showcased in the castle was impressive, and the creativity extended to a fascinating ship restaurant. The addition of a gift shop and a lighthouse added to the charm. However, the $35 price tag for a single tour seemed a bit steep, especially considering the remote location. We opted out of the tour due to the cost, but the overall atmosphere and Solomon's artistic touch made it a memorable visit nonetheless.

Give it a chance!! Definitely worth the drive. Amazing works of art. Good food. Very friendly staff. Need either cash or check. They do have ATM but fees charged to withdraw.

Amazing artwork! The "corny" humor some have commented on are exactly what the artist scripted for the guides to say about his art. It was endearing, like your dad's jokes... punny for sure. We went with friends who had been before and wanted to go again. There is a lot to see. Nice area to walk around outside. You can take all the pictures you want-- outside only. The Café is pretty good. We did go see the classic cars on the Encore tour. Very nice vintage Fords 1930s and older in great shape and some other makes. Highly recommend both tours!!

Magical and whimsical place for kids and adults. Solomon’s castle is a wonderful showcase of art and music and fun!!There is a huge boat on the moat where you walk through to lush greenery a very interesting gift shop and live music. They have a working kitchen to grab a yummy bite to eat.We did the original tour and got to see all the beautiful artwork inside the castle. Tix are on sale at the castle gift shop.

This place is amazing! Get the package deal. You don't need to buy ahead you can purchase tickets there at the gift shop..which has lots of nice things. Tour the castle or the collector car versions. Worth your time and then afterwards have a great meal. Reasonable prices and home cooked. You can eat lunch or dinner followed by dessert! Family owned and ran. Great people tooDon't miss out!!! Open Jan-June closed on Mondays otherwise open 10a-4p T-Sun. unless you have dinner after they don't rush you. Very nice and friendly about it. Great people! Photos aren't allowed inside the castle or in the car collection area but everywhere else is game. You won't regret!!

Far away, LOVED the museum and history, no pictures in the castle! Lunch on the boat in the moat, was good! Bring cash or check, NO CREDIT CARDS. All the staff was very nice and friendly! That alone would bring me back! see it once, you will enjoy it!!

The castle has very interesting architecture, the materials are mostly from recycled items. The most unique aspect are the 100's of amazing metal sculptures and wood block paintings made by Mr Solomon. He was a genius. There is also an extensive collection of pre1935 vintage autos kept in 2 separate buildings. He built a large wooden boat which holds a restaurant where visitors can eat lunch. Additionally there is a very nice outdoor patio where you can also eat lunch in nice weather. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere, good sweet tea, but lasagna needed more basil, Italian, garlic, and oregano. I'm disappointed it didn't come with garlic bread 😕 a dinner roll instead. My husband and friend had chicken pot pies. They loved them. My girlfriend has always had a fresh salad of many different kinds. It is her favorite place to go in the area. One guy Only musician was very talented and had a great voice. We will be back.

We had a delicious lunch at The Boat in the Moat, followed by an informative and humorous tour of Solomons Castle. Cindy was our tour guide and did a great job of showing us all there was to see. It's one of those unique places everyone should visit at least once. We'll definitely go back for lunch again in the future.

One of the most surprisingly awesome places to spend a few hours. In the middle of nowhere but worth the 1.5 hour drive from Tampa. The 45 castle tour is awesome. Howard Solomon was a legend, albeit gotta imagine a lot for most people. Hell of an artist. Boat restaurant on the property serves a great lunch. Gift shop is a bit weak, wish they had some reproductions of his art for sale. Overall tho can't recommend this place more for a random visit. A+++++

I’ve been here before. It’s a trip worth while to visit the castle and the antique cars. Please have cash - only deal with this. The first trip we ate from the dinner menu - it was very good. This trip we had lunch - it was fair. Reason 4/5 stars. However there was live music outside 4/5.

Was in the area looking at some fields and this was the closest place for lunch. The hot dog was not bad and seems to be one of their signature dishes.Something to note is that they only accept cash and there’s not much phone signal there. I would say it’s an interesting place to stop by to checkout their strange decor from the castle and boat.

This is Hardee County’s best kept secret. It is quirky, genius, and a plethora of history expressed through the mind of one amazing human being. I read somewhere the word “Kitsch” was used to describe the art. Negative! Nothing could be farther from the truth. All the pieces are original, inspired, generated, and rendered via the mind of the artist. His daughter works tirelessly to maintain the tradition, and the script used to describe the artist inspirations? The script was written by the artist for each person tasked with each tour! Everything about this visit was amazing and can’t wait to go back.I feel like I stepped into the timeline of another planet. Please pray for Solomon’s castle during hurricane season. There must be an awakening in the governor’s to provide consideration to one of our state’s treasures!

The new bridge is so much better than the old bridge that collapsed several years before I was born. the new bridge: has lights, is stronger, is safer, and has a 180 ft navigational clearance while the old bridge had a 155 foot clearance.

Amazing times. Clean facilities and Amazing employees tending and maintaining the locations. Some of the best night fishing I have ever had. Your bridge pass includes saltwater fishing licenses while present. The Fish And Game Agents were nice and informative, when you have questions about unknown fish and size limits. They were so helpful with keeping me out of trouble. LOL!

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Florida, and for good reason. This stunning bridge offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, making it a must-see destination for anyone visiting the area.Paying the toll to cross the bridge is well worth it, as the views are simply spectacular. The best time to drive across is at sunset, when the sky turns shades of pink, orange, and purple, creating a truly magical experience. You'll feel as if you're driving into a painting! In addition to the incredible views, there are fishing piers on both the north and south ends of the bridge, making it a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts. For those who just want to relax and take in the scenery, there are rest areas at both ends of the bridge with nice facilities. One of the coolest things about the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is the lighting at night. The bridge is illuminated with colorful lights that change throughout the night, creating a beautiful and mesmerizing display. If you're lucky, you may even spot some pelicans using the draft from the cars driving by to glide up alongside the bridge and then dive down into the water to catch a fish. It's a truly amazing sight to see!

The Salvador Dali Museum is a renowned museum housing extensive surrealist art by the Spanish artist. It has a unique theatrical exterior and is a must-see for fans of Dalí's work.
The museum itself was wonderful and a beautiful experience. The paintings are amazing. The outside garden was also beautiful. We did the Dalí Alive 360 which is well worth it!! The food was a bit expensive 😞 and pay for parking 10$ but glad there was parking . There were quite a-lot of people and loud in the museum so kinda had to rush then go back to read the ones we missed. Over all it was a great experience. Also, every worker we had contact with was so friendly!!

There is so much to see! I spent 4 hours there and didn't experience everything. The Dali 360 is a great place to start. The docent led tour was beyond my expectations. She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his art, the meaning, and his life. The cafe is to die for. My sister and I shared a tapas platter that was so decadent. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon but I wanted to see more...so I will have to go back.😎

I always wanted to visit this museum as it houses the 2nd largest collection of Dali works— the largest collection being being in Spain— so, once I knew I’d be in the area, I decided to go. Luckily, it was a Thursday, so it was half-price after 5p. I was staying in the hotel just a block or so away, so I walked. I did purchase my ticket online in advance, and there was a short wait to get in. There is a little cafe, and I ate my evening meal there— it was good food, and there is a bar and a number of tables both inside and outside. It’s by the water so it’s a nice view, and the architecture is beautiful. Dali art, like all art, is subjective, and it’s not really my style. I find most of it too abstract for my tastes, though he does have a few paintings that are beautiful. But, as I said, I always wanted to visit this museum so it was a must-see for me. I joined a free museum tour, and it was very informative. No regrets!

This museum has been on my bucket list for a very long time, and I am so glad that I finally had the opportunity to visit. We did not do the audio tour and still enjoyed the experience very much. However, we did pay extra for the 3D showing, and I highly recommend you do the same. It was definitely a highlight of our day.The cafe food looked delicious, although we didn't try any ourselves. The outdoor seating area had a beautiful view, but it was way too hot when we visited at the beginning of August to stay outside for long.Altogether, we spent a couple of hours in the exhibits plus the time for the 3D experience. The gift shop was also pretty impressive with lots of interesting purchasing options.

Be aware that guided tours only leave on a periodic basis. Call ahead to learn more. They also have audio tours available. QR codes are provided near the individual works of art to provide additional information as you tour the museum. Super smart! The grounds near the building are immaculately, clean, and easy to walk. The views are amazing and allow several photo opportunities!Plenty of parking and easy to access via wheelchair. Definitely recommend!

Today I attended the Dali for free museum day and we had a wonderful time! It was my third visit. I really appreciated that all staff interactions were so pleasant as well. But I wanted to especially commend the sweet young boy who gave an excellent presentation about the painting of Dali’s brother’s portrait - what an absolute gem! I was floored by this young man’s poise and presentation and further impressed with the museum’s programming to allow young children to be such an interactive part of the exhibit. I was even tickled to see an artist in real-time sketching a drawing of Dali as well! I also love the new flowers exhibit! All of it made for an unforgettable day today! I just love this museum!

My first visit to the Dali Museum was incredible—it truly did not disappoint! The museum itself is a masterpiece, both inside and out. The exhibits are fascinating, and the architecture is stunning. The café added to the experience with its fun drinks and tasty treats. However, the highlight for me was the beautiful gardens in the lovely St. Pete setting. The combination of art, nature, and scenery was truly impressive.

We had a great experience at the exhibits. We happened to go on Thursday evening which is a opportunity for a reduced entrance cost and we reserved the tickets online. By the way make sure to have a credit or debit card for everything they don't accept cash.If you are a Dali fan or not, maybe even just like art you would enjoy this museum. The tour we joined with Janice was really good. She knew the owner and friend of Salvador Dali and had lots of personal information to share. Her tour was very well done. So good in fact and we wished we could have asked her if we could tip her. There is lots of pieces to see in a one of a kind site. Great views and a artistic building itself. They have very modern features where it is possible to interact with the exhibit. My favorite was the AI exhibit where you can describe a dream and with your phone create a piece of art that you can had to take with you. This was amazing. There is a Cafe and a 3D exhibit on the grounds that looked interesting but we would like to go back for that. The gift shop has lots of offerings at many price levels.

It was such an amazing experience visiting this museum. We did both the full 360 and the general admission exhibits, and they’re well worth the price. We went during the floral special exhibition, and I really enjoyed the florals there in signature Dali style. I would also heavily recommend the poached pear dessert - it was super unique and well priced! Overall I would recommend!

Was a little disappointed that the displays were only 2 rooms (for the price paid). But appreciative pf the resident discounts. The gift shop & Cafe bar were of equal size. The 360 Alive exhibit is a must, in my opinion, to make the trip really worth it. That was a very cool show.

Parking was $10, (all day parking), however parking is limited. There was a graduation at the theater next door and a boat show, we got lucky and got one of the last spots. They were asking folks to park just two blocks away. There are docent tours every hour 12:30, 130… check before you go and do go, fascinating! So knowledgeable and polite. There is a Dalí Cafe, delicious (limited indoor seating but worth the wait). I don’t normally enjoy museum cafes but this one had very tasty food (we had the cheese plate, bread plate and carrot hummus, plus coffee and tea.The is a decent selection of Dali photos, paintings and information and you can go online to learn more. I would go back again since our friend is not much of a reader and is more of a quick browser. I would like to spend a bit more time and perhaps go on another docent tour.Go, enjoy and try the cafe, too!

Time killer. Buy tickets online before-hand. Local travel magazines offer discount codes and there is a weeknight that is heavily discounted.Such a fun experience, plan on spending a minimum of 2 hours, but you can spend HOURS reading the artwork notes and listening to the tour guides. There is a cafe inside but the line was pretty long (10-30 minutes). There is also a gift shop that you can buy souvenirs and the Dalí artwork in multiple sizes. You must pay for parking - parking lot, street, or by dock. There is a museum parking lot but it is more expensive than the street parking.

Well worth price of admission. The building is amazing work of art. Dali was an eccentric person and a very different artist with an amazing mind. Not the type of art you may put on your walls, however I can appreciate his genius as an artist and his flamboyant personality. I visited a number of years ago and remembered some things, but enjoyed talking in more of Dali. Especially liked the 360 movie, very well done.

Extraordinary experience. Was fully immersed in the works of art, the museum has an excellent combination of physical and digital art, with virtual reality and AR headset experiences. Would recommend the Dali Alive 360 experience! It’s inside the sphere outside the museum and is totally worth the 30-ish minutes of showtime. Is one of my favorite museums ever. A must-go!

The Dali Museum is quite the experience and absolutely worth making a trip to the area. The parking is $10 for all day and can be limited but we found it no issue. No backpack type bags are allowed and only disposable water bottles are allowed (first floor only). Luckily they have free lockers just outside the museum to stow your stuff, especially if you like to carry your own water bottle like me and want to go upstairs to see Dali’s works. So bring a small purse/bag and disposable water bottles.I suggest you purchase the tickets ahead of time because it can get crowded/busy and you want to ensure your entry. It got packed by the time we headed upstairs. The outing will be pricey, especially if you add on the “360 experience”, some snacks, drinks at the cafe and of course…the souvenir shop.At first we weren’t going to do the “360 experience” but decided on it last minute since we already made the trip out there. I have to say it was worth it! We absolutely loved it and found it inspiring and moving. We’d do it again.Plan a trip to The Dali Museum and give yourself time to enjoy all it has to offer. The art pieces themselves are incredible and I could’ve easily spent all day here, there’s truly a lot to see, especially if you read about each piece. There’s a small theater that plays Dali’s life story on repeat, which we enjoyed. The building itself is gorgeous and something Dali would’ve loved!

I'v been to the Dali museum a handful of times because he's one of my favorite artists. For the entrance cost, this is a very very small museum. With the first floor being the cafe, the second floor being offices, that just leaves the third floor for art and exploration, and the outdoor 'garden' for a photo op with his infamous curled mustache.Nonetheless, this is a beautiful building, but you can easily knock out this museum in about an hour.

I am biased because I love Dali's work. Being among it was enough, but getting to see some of his larger scale paintings was amazing. Getting to see sibling pieces to the ones I have seen in the Tate Modern and the Reina Sofia was great. The special exhibit was something I had not engaged with before. And they do have a banging gift shop.

The Manatee Viewing Center features a 50-foot observation tower, trails, a boardwalk and butterfly gardens. This nature preserve is perfect for viewing manatees in their natural environment. The center also offers educational opportunities about manatees and their ecology.
This place is amazing, and free!! Parking filled up fast, but they have an overflow parking lot. There were at least thirty manatees in the area when we came, and it’s still pretty warm right now. The observation tower was worth the walk, lots of schools of fish to see and watch them jump. The learning area is geared towards smaller children but was still interesting. Cute gift shop. We didn’t eat onsite, but they did have a place for food and the prices seemed very reasonable.

During my visit to the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach, FL, I was truly impressed by the exceptional level of maintenance and care evident throughout the facility. The staff's extensive knowledge of marine life, particularly their expertise on manatees, greatly enriched my visit. Furthermore, I was delighted to see the commitment to sustainable energy, with a notable emphasis on solar and wind power. The fact that the majority of the facility operates on solar energy is a commendable feat, reflecting a dedication to environmental responsibility. The day of my visit was particularly memorable as I had the opportunity to witness a remarkable number of manatees, as well as encountering some sharks and tarpon. This diverse marine life added an extra layer of fascination to the experience. Overall, the Manatee Viewing Center left a lasting impression on me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of Florida's marine ecosystems.

I've been in the area for 20 years and just recently went for the first time recently. I can't believe I've waited so long to go. We went on a beautiful day on the weekend so it was quite packed, but we eventually shuffled our way up the rail and saw a ton of manatees. It wasn't even peak season and we saw a ton of them. Stay as long as you want to and take all the pictures your heart desires.I was surprised about the various activities around the area. A large and well.stocked gift shop, manatee learning center, kids play area, Cafe and cool trail walks. Definitely wear some shoes you don't mind getting dirty because some areas were wet. Awesome time spent for free!

This place was amazing. I'm so glad that they give back to the community like they do as it is free. There is a gift shop, two peirs to walk out onto. They had a petting area for sting rays. They had several beautifully landscaped gardens. These are all just extra perks as far as I'm concerned. The manatees were so very cool!!!

What an awesome experience for people of all ages, and at no cost!!! Everything is set up perfectly. The gift shop was amazing and prices were great! Employees/volunteers were phenomenal. We definitely will be back. Visit on a cooler day to increase your chances of seeing more manatees. Also, consider adopting a manatee to help save these gentle giants!!

I have to rate this place 5 stars not least because it’s totally free! It’s a fabulous way to see these gorgeous creatures and enjoy watching all their cute habits. Plus there are so many other exhibits and fun things for adults and kids to watch and take part in. The little cafe has good food and drink options at really reasonable prices. It was well worth the trip and we will most likely go again when we have friends and family in town. We went over the weekend and did not have to wait even though it was popular. We did not have to buy tickets in advance.

The Manatee Viewing Center was wonderful! I definitely didn't expect to see so many manatees but boy was I wrong. We saw black-tipped sharks, Atlantic Tarpon, Redfin Needlefish, and stingrays! What a wonderful and free experience available to the public! The gift shop has so many cute and affordable keepsakes or gifts to choose from. There is a stingray pool where you can watch and touch the rays as they swim by. So much fun! We can't wait to return!

Super nice place. They have a few trails to walk, a viewing tower, manatee viewing, a stingray pool, and a gift shop. The trails went to places that talked about solar energy and other sustainable energy sources. They had some interactive activities at the stops. They had a little pool with stingrays you could touch where the volunteers were really kind. The manatee viewing spot was perfect. There were so many! Overall great experience considering all the activities were free!

This is a really nice facility and fits nicely into the surrounding environment. There is no guarantee that you will see any manatees, although we did see several, and they were impressive. There is plenty of parking and includes many for handicapped as well. For those with electric vehicles, there are charging stations available. There is no cost for parking or to enter the facility, which is fantastic. If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up. Thanks!

This place is huge. Lots of walking. Unfortunately we came the day a.big storm was coming in and a few days before the viewing area closes for the summer. The water was very muddy. Still got to see a couple sharks and tarpons. We could tell where the manatees were. Still we enjoyed the area. The butterfly area was very nice. We will comeback this winter

This location is accessible with a ramp as well as stairs to the viewing platform. They have a concessions area and gift shop as well as ample parking. Every time I've gone, I've seen manatees and sometimes sharks or tarpon. The volunteers are very helpful with ample information about the animals you'll see. There is a ground level tank for the petting of stingrays as well as many miles of walking trails surrounding. They hold an annual 5k event to support their educational efforts.

A fun, unique, and free experience! It was cool to see the manatees, but also the variety of fish and birds, as well as the occasional shark! There was a neat educational area in the basement with stingrays. We visited in the middle of March so there weren't as many manatees visible, but it was still a great experience.
Anne G — Google review
The best free experience! Very clean, no crowds, educational, love watching manatees enjoying the warmer waters! Fun and playful stingrays! Beautiful boardwalk. Definitely will be returning to learn about the birds, gardens, and check out the gift shop.Wheelchair accessible. They have Wheelchairs as well. Very friendly staff. We felt very welcome.

Best time to go is during colder weather months as Manatees hang out here due to the warm water. Mostly gone by March. But they do have an interactive ray tank and you can take a free tram to the turtle conservation center any time and both are wonderful.

So fun, clean, and it's FREE!!! This place is great! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. First time touching a sting ray! The walkways are large, everything was clean (even the bathrooms). While the manatee weren't close, you can definitely see them there. It's amazing the entire facility is free. It needs to be on your bucket list!

Great facility! It's free and free parking. There is a gift shop, you can also get food and drinks there. They have a touch tank with stingrays. We got to see so many manatees and sharks. If you park in the overflow lot the walk to the area is not bad it's pretty. They do have a golf cart shuttle. I will go here again.

Great place to see lots of manatees! There are viewing platforms above the water, so visitors can look down into the water to see the adorable manatees. They gather near the power plant to take advantage of the warmer water in the winter months. There are hundreds of them swimming about! There is a cute gift shop ( an employee told me some of the proceeds go to support manatees) , snack bar, restrooms & an area to see & interact with stingrays.

Wir waren hier für ca. 1 Stunde.(Translated by Google)Worth a stop! There is enough parking space and from the entrance you can get a lot of information about the manatees and other animals that live here. I absolutely love visiting here, its my 3rd time and I never tire of seeing these beautiful creatures. Parking was easy... and if there is not space in the main parking lot, there is remote parking with a shuttle, free. I always enjoy walking on the boardwalks and there is plenty of railing space to get a good view in. The signs are helpful to identify the birds and fish. The gift shop is very reasonable priced.

Love this place. A nice bit of walking, since we had to park in the overflow parking lot. Thankfully they have a trolley service which we took after getting our steps in🤣. Plenty of manatee huddle up trying to keep warm. The souvenir shop is small, but we managed to get the perfect pin we were looking for. The turtle hospital was worth the trolley ride. Totally recommend going, it's very educational. It's totally free to get in.

Spectrum Field is a small, intimate baseball stadium in Clearwater, Florida that is home to the local minor league team, the Clearwater Threshers. The stadium has an electrifying atmosphere and is particularly popular with Phillies fans during spring training sessions. Tickets for minor league baseball games tend to be cheaper than tickets for televised MLB matches.
Perfect activity! You can have so much fun here whether that’s bringing a date, family activity, or a job event!Even if you don’t like watching baseball honestly they have a great bar & amazing food as well. & for the young ones a playground! The field is beautiful & pretty big as well. I truly enjoyed watching the game here it was fun!!!It was super clean even the restrooms so I that was great!I got spicy cheese curds & they were FANTASTIC!! So get them!!!

Nice stadium, was almost full for the Phillies and Pirates game. We were behind home plate, so great view of the game. The scoreboard placement was wonderful, but tiny compared to most stadiums. Parking was ok, about a 5 minute walk and $10 charge. Drinks were super expensive with lemonade at $8.75 and water at $5. Seats were $35. There wasn’t much shade, so be prepared to fry. They do offer plenty of free sunscreen stations. Plenty of food vendors and selection. It’s worth the visit to experience a game, but pretty tame compared to most stadiums.

This was the best MiLB stadium I’ve been to! Parking was very easy and close. Entrance into the stadium was easy, and getting tickets was smooth. The team store was the nicest and biggest of all the ones I’ve been to, and they had plenty of selections, and some good sales. The biggest A+ they get is that they had gluten free options for food! I have Celiac Disease, so going to ballparks makes it tough if I want to eat. While it’s not outright listed on the menu boards, they fry the French fries in a separate place, grill their burgers on a clean grill, and have gluten free buns! They were very accommodating and understanding! The seating was great, as there are plenty of options, and plate visibility is great. The attendants weren’t strict, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t in someone else’s seat, so I appreciated their attentiveness.I’ll definitely be back!

First time visiting the ballpark. All the workers were very nice and happy which is great! The ballpark was clean and kept very neat throughout the night. The food and drink prices were very reasonable (Even better with 50% off drinks on Thursdays!) Great experience overall and I will be back before playoff time!

Clean park. Came to watch a philles spring training game. Bathrooms were clean. Local craft beer was cheaper than domestic beer. 2 craft beers, 2 hot dogs w cheese, and a pretzel for $20. Not bad. We also had pretty good seats to see everything.

Loved being here for Spring Training! Acceptable pricing and nice seating. Not very much shade and lots of walking, but for a Philliss win it's all worth it!

Great ballpark for Spring Training! I only wish they had the pretzels like they have at Citizens Bank Park! The water ice was a great treat, though. Our seats were mostly in the sun for the 1pm game, so wear your sunscreen or get some at the sunscreen locations at the ballpark.

Lots of stairs to climb. If you have bad knees! Workers need more guidance on how to treat children and deal with public in general, I observed an incident at the play green area in which children were yelled at. Maybe there should be guidance for parents and teachers as this was a school group on how to handle the facility as many are not aware of the rules. In general all was fine and the facilities look clean and bright, workers were like soldiers and wouldn't allowed people without bracelets ( tickets were sold out at the school) so we had to buy regular tickets, the whole point of coming to the stadium was to play and be with friends in the same area.

Attended a big Halloween event at BayCare ballpark. It was very nice, lots of booths for the kids to trick or treat, games, hayrides photos. One fun thing our little one enjoyed was rolling down the berm. It was a very well put together event with lots of volunteers and there were a lot of people who attended. This was a great alternative to trick or treating in the neighborhoods but it's also fun to go house to house. The parking was well organized and accessible. We enjoyed it a lot.

Quite honestly one of the best ballpark’s in the area. The tickets are fairly cheap and their food prices are fair. Still food court costs but MUCH cheaper than the most food courts I’ve seen. They have a lot of events and promotions you can go to and are actually fun and worth it. Highly recommend for a fun time alone or with family!

Great place to catch a Phillies Spring Training game or two. It's a completely different experience than Citizens Bank Park. Not a bad seat in the house.Concessions are reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Parking is a breeze but there is a dedicated Uber lot if you prefer to be dropped off (not a bad idea).PRO-TIP: Get your ice cream early in the game. As the game wears on, the Florida sun takes it's toll, and the ice cream line becomes massively long.

Paddy’s Day game is always a blast. Saw Dave Dombrowski and John Middleton. Kiss your sister game- game ended in a tie because Phillies relief pitching failed in the ninth. But still a good time was had by all. Weather was great.

The park is nice, seats are wide. There are plenty of food and drink options reasonably priced for a ballpark. 24oz craft beer is $8.50.....domestics $8. The ballplay was good at this level, but pitching continues to dominate. There were 5 or 6 pitchers throughout the 9 innings and everyone of them was throwing in 90mph range.

Located in Tampa, ZooTampa features exhibits like the Asian Gardens, Safari Africa and the Primate World. Educational programs are also offered, including opportunities to feed a giraffe and learn about other animals. There is also a water play area for kids.
We love this zoo. My daughter started watching their show on Disney and became obsessed with the African "Panda" dog, aka African painted dog. We did a road trip just to visit the dogs. Now, we have been back multiple times. The park has a perfect combination of animals and extra fun kid activities. The Manatee exhibit is my personal favorite. There are so many cool ways to see them up close and realize how much personality those manatees have. Seeing a Florida Panther up close was also neat. The carousel, safari ride, face painting, and log flume ride all break up the day to add an extra layer of fun. My daughter got one of their junior zookeeper vests and wears it constantly. Overall, we had a really good experience at this zoo and have already come back and plan to go more. My only negative is that the lunch options are not very healthy. We ended up doing pizza the first visit, and it was very greasy. That is where I could see room for improvement.

We went for the "Creatures of the Night" event. We sadly went right after lunch, so most of the animals were sleeping or hiding, and that's okay, we saw the pirate magic show, amazing magic tricks, and hilarious jokes, great show for the kids. We also saw the "Black Widow Living Fountain" show and it drew a fairly large crowd, the show itself was wonderful and very entertaining, kids were having a great time as well as the adults around us. Would recommend going before they end the event!!

Such a nice zoo with so many interesting animals! My boys just loved the zoo and all it had to offer. The whole family really enjoyed the Macaw exhibition as soon as we entered the main entrance. The fly overs were amazing to watch! The manatee viewing areas were amazing and were the highlight of our trip to the zoo!!! Tampa City Pass made for an easy entry into the park with no wait lines at all! Highly recommend for a fun family day out.

Love, love love this place. Perfect place to bring your kids to play for 2 to 3 hours or more. The best part for the kids is the splash pad.I bring my B.O.B. Jogging stroller, which is pretty big, but the zoo is stroller friendly & it fits everywhere.Signature encounters with the kids are truly awesome. They get an up close & personal experience with a certain animal. They get to learn awesome facts and take amazing photos with these animals. We still have fun here on busy days, blackout days, and slow days! They definitely need to bring the predator exhibit back with all the dinosaurs! An awesome thing is buy a ticket and you get to go for the whole year. It’s definitely worth it. Especially on those summer days or weekends after school when you’re not sure what to do as a family, bring the kids to the zoo. Don’t forget to bring their swimsuits.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at the Tampa zoo. Larger than I thought it would be and had such a great variety of animals. I like that there are different themes as continents, but would have like to see some koala bears and Australia. The popsicles in the gift shop were delicious and the water ride was so much fun. The highlight was getting to see the shoe bill storks being fed. Danny was a true delight, who helped us learn so much about these magnificent creatures. Great way to spend the day!

A fantastic zoo. Went without researching (on purpose). I Wasn't expecting a water ride or all the water fountain places to get wet and cool off. Recommend wearing a bathing suit and bringing towels to enjoy it all. Also, most of the feedings were already booked up by an hour of being at the park after opening, so I also recommend booking any animal interactions (feedings, etc) prior to visiting! Overall, a great zoo and we will plan accordingly next time, to enjoy all they have to offer.

My little nephew loved the zoo. He was so excited to see the animals. Love how they separated the animals by different continents and countries. The cool down zones are a genius idea for the hot days. The wet area for the kids is a bonus. It was a fun experience for everyone.

My kids and I had a great time visiting here. We enjoyed seeing the different animals that we haven’t seen before and learning about the manatee rescue.Whoever decided to put rides and water features in the zoo is a genius!! I felt like there was a lot of shade as we were going through and the fans helped cool us down as well.I docked a star bc there seemed to be a lot closed…rides, restaurants, stores, etc. It also smelled really bad by the orangutans…not sure if there was something going on or if that is normal.

We had so much fun at this zoo. Checking in I didn't buy tickets ahead of time and I am thankful I didn't. The assistant was friendly and helped me understand that it was cheaper to get a zoo membership than it was to pay for 2 adults and a 4 year old. Now I have a membership that gets me into select zoos and aquariums all over the US at a discount price, plus a discount when buying stuff inside the zoos and aquariums like the gift shop and pictures. We took other reviewers recommendations and went straight to the safari ride so we wouldn't wait in long lines. Definitely a good idea we had to wait two rotations, the vehicle seats quite a lot of people. I always visit zoos when on vacation, so I didn't do much research about this one. I was pleasantly surprised that there is a water ride, which is included in your ticket to get into the zoo. We where racing a storm on our visit. There is a large splash pad area that my 4 year old didn't get to play in. If there is a storm in the area FL shuts down water rides and splash areas. All the animals look well cared for and have nice enclosures with plenty of enrichment. I kept commenting how thought out the zoo was, there is plenty of shade built over the paths and trees for shady areas. We where there early in the morning and most animals where visable, your always going to have some hiding. Which is good that they have the choice to hide from the heat and hustle and bustle of human chaos. I definitely recommend taking this adventure, it took us about 3 hours and its a beautiful zoo. More time could of been spent if the storm wasn't approaching.

This is a nice zoo. I’ve never seen koalas up close like that before. There are a few rides that are free. A carousel and a small kid friendly roller coaster. It’s manageable to see the zoo in 2.5-3.5 hours depending on the age of kids you have. The Asia area and Africa area have nice details that make it feel authentic. Staff were very nice.

Really enjoyed this Park, the animals looked well cared for with nice areas built to enclose them more naturally for many. The elephants were easily viewed on a little free safari included with admission. The rides were a nice plus especially the water ride. Splash pads and misters really helped with the heat, we lasted all day with a 7 yr old in late June around 87 out. Wendy’s Frosty stand was refreshing. Water was a bit pricey but other than that all perfect experiences, including interaction with staff.

Wow! What a great facility. Best time is early in the morning at 9:30 AM. You will be surprised to see how much there is to do. If you have a small child bring a stroller. Several places to sit down and cool off while you have a snack. Bring a swimsuit if you want to splash in the water nets to cool off. $47.00 dollars for all your visits until the end of the year. A few minutes west of 275 on sligh. Easy access.

So many animals to see! Definitely so worth it but do pick a good day, it can get hot. They do have water mist stations throughout the zoo where you can cool down though. Desserts and food there as well, ofc just be ready to pay a little more than you would outside. Reg drink or bottle of water is what $4-5. Inside you’ll pay double that. Otherwise everything else is amazing. We even got our pictures printed out and shared to us.

Engaging zoo with clever placement of spray pads to keep you cool. Was hoping for more animals in a zoo of this size, and a better flow of traffic.Appreciated all the different flora and fauna. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend the reusable beverage cups! We really enjoyed our trip

The safari adventure is a must do part of the zoo, I recommend going straight to it when you get into the park to avoid a long line, you get to see some animals you can't see from anywhere else in the zoo, and different angles and occasionally closer views of the African animals. During the summer I would definitely get there early to beat the heat but there are plenty of fans, misters, and even a water ride to help cool you off. Overall really great experience with plenty of animals and if you have kids there's lots of activities and rides for them to enjoy besides just the animals

Such a great zoo! My 1st time coming, we will definitely be back with our 1 yr old son.I attached a couple pictures of the line we waited in. How long it went so fast...we were probably only in line for about 5 minutes.🙂 There were approximately 40 people ahead of us when we 1st got in line.(*In The Giftshop*) Motorized-buggies available to rent $40, regular wheelchair $14All the workers were great and the bathrooms were THE CLEANEST I'VE EVER SEEN, clearly That is a High Priority at this zoo! If you’re considering having your wedding or an event at this zoo, I cannot tell you enough, DO IT!!Kyle, Shelly, Denise and their teams were all beyond incredible to work with. Each of them worked with us from communication and planning to being present for the entire wedding. They are phenomenal managers and it shows in their work. I hope to have future events with them!!The wedding was hosted in The Oasis venue, one of several options they offer. This space is truly incredible, especially for large guest counts. Ample room, tables and chairs, huge dance floor, multiple entrances and exits, plenty of personality!!They did the linens and food and beverage. The linens were top of the line, the food was delicious. As were the drinks. The staff did everything from setting up the tables to clearing the tables. When I needed more or less of something they handled it quickly and pleasantly.I cannot express enough that this is an incredible venue and the private events staff and managers are phenomenal!! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!

Great place for kids. We loved Elmo's show, the kids area, the zoo. You need a few hours to see the whole park. They do have food areas, a very nice restaurant, many rides for kids 5-7 years old. Also many places where you can be inside to cool off. Very nice experience. My 5 years old son had a blast. He loved the hippo, giraffes and cheetah. Mamma Kangaroo had a baby and my kid was very happy to see that.

We arrived at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay at 9 AM, ready for a day of adventure. The park is split into themed areas with African wildlife, thrilling rides, and live shows. We saw flamingos, kangaroos, and eagles up close, and enjoyed roller coasters like SheiKra. For food, there are options ranging from pizza to BBQ. A cool fact: Busch Gardens is also a major conservation center for endangered species. The downside? Lines for rides can be long during peak times, but the experience was worth it for the mix of animals and excitement.

This place was great. There is plenty to do for kids and adults. The kids rode the rides, and we looked at the animals. The kids loved it. It is a big park and it does have plenty of places to eat. We bought the dining pass, and it was worth it. General parking was fine with the trams running.

Visited on an extremely hot day! This may have benefited us as wait time for rides and attractions were very short. Purchased the food pass, we thought this worked best for us, as we planned on a long day at the park. We ended up being there for 7 hours. So it was a perfect pick for us. The food is good, don't expect fine dining but our family of 4 enjoyed it the options provided to us!Our kids loved the Sesame Street area, thats where they could have most of their fun! Splash pad, kids roller coasters, and animal exhibits were great! With it being so hot out, some of the animals were interested in getting their pictures taken.

This is one of my favorite parks. This park has something for everyone. They have adrenaline roller-coasters, they have a zoo, they have shows, and kids areas. We got there early and were able to leave no wait in the first couple of rides.SheiKra, with the 90-degree drop is my favorite ride in the park. They also have Cheetah Hunt with a high speed which I love too.We went on the train around the park. The kagoroo encounter was very nice.Overall, everyone will find something to have fun.

We bought a 2-park pass - Seaworld and Busch Gardens along with all-day dining. The all-day dining worked perfectly in Seaworld but failed miserably in Busch Gardens - no one told us we needed to swap our dining passes for wristbands - when we asked at Guest Services, they said it's not mentioned anywhere including the website - rubbish. The dining areas didn't open until 1130hrs and then shut at 1600hrs - only one was open until 1700hrs - rubbish. An all-day dining pass is $59.99 each ($29.99 for kids) - it's actually good value as everything is extortionate!Several of the big rides were closed, the park train only had one station open so you could only do a loop of the park, not use it to get around - rubbish!Lots of the concession stands were shut - rubbish! The safari tour was excellent, especially feeding the giraffes - this alone made the day worth it. However, if you wanted a park photo of you feeding a giraffe, it was $40 for a 6"x8" photo - more than the cost of a safari ticket.Staff - no one had a clue where anything was outside of their ride area - rubbish! Not enough park maps or signposts at every junction so easy to get lost.Dining - no central location where you could out what was open and when - not on the website either so not possible to plan- rubbish!Basically it seems that the park is out to rinse/fleece you for as much money as possible, over and above what you've already paid for the tickets - for example ANOTHER $34 FOR PARKING!!!! 🤬🤬

Busch Gardens was the most amazing attraction park I’ve ever been to. I love that the gardens have roller coasters and the zoo filled with something for everyone. You can ride the roller coasters, take a train ride to see the animals, taste some delicious food and have lots of fun.Be prepared for the waiting lines. Getting here early in the morning is the best, you’ll likely skip long lines.

I love this park. The coaster section is great. The shows are pretty good for amusement parks. The animal tours are outstanding. We love to take people to the safari to feed the giraffes. The cost of admission is a great value with the fun card. Pay once and go the whole year. The memberships have great perks, free tickets , free money to eat in the park, discount tickets etc

My trip to BGT was phenomenal other than the food. The rides and cleanliness were easily 5-star worthy. Sadly 3 rides were out of service and the customer service we received and the quality of the food was sub-par for Busch Gardens. The only food that was actually decent was at the smoke house.

Visiting from the UK. Roller coasters here are awesome. We did the safari trail with Giraffe feeding which was a very good experience. The only thing that let the park down was a few rides weren't working that we went there specifically to do, such as Falcons Fury and the Cobra. I would definitely recommend though and I will be back.

Absolutely awesome! There is something for everyone. There’s a great Sesame Street play area for kids, there are cheers and elephants and other animals. Also flamingoes. There are insanely wild rides and great shows. They have such fabulous shops not crazy prices for gifts and souvenirs. The workers are so friendly and helpful and there are plenty of bathrooms and lockers. The best place ever!!!!

Good combination between a zoo and amusement park. To enjoy the most of the park, get to it as early as possible. Getting to park takes some time but it’s well organized. My recommendation here is to enjoy the rollercoasters and outside attractions in the morning since in the afternoon it’s most likely to rain and those attractions get canceled. A lot of shows to enjoy. The all-day-dining option is a good deal, we paid $30 per person, and could eat a meal every 90 minutes. The chicken at the Dragon Fire Grill & Pub was awful. If you can, avoid it.

Definitely had a blast here! We were fortunate to catch it on a less busy day, so ride times moved decently! Park was kept clean which was nice to see. Be prepared to spend $$$ on food, drinks and souvenirs. (But, thats no surprise at a theme park!) I'd most certainly enjoy another trip back! The coasters are pretty next level! And, as a side note... the app is pretty unreliable for ride times/ride closures, so better to just head to the ride of choice and check it out!
H L — Google review
Definitely not how I remember it. I went years ago with family and we had the best time. This time around, we purchased 2-day tickets and after the first day we did not want to return. I realize it’s an amusement park and everything is expensive, but charging $5 per person to ride the SkyRide after getting overpriced tickets seems a little ridiculous. There were also numerous rides closed down which was disappointing, and we found the park catered to the safari/wildlife scene more than rollercoaster attractions. The rides we did go on were great, but again, we had to purchase lockers every single time we got on a ride. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we will most-likely not be returning.
Cam — Google review
The rides were great. The place has a combination of zoo and roller coasters rides. Must try Iron Gwazi. You should take it as the first ride when you enter the park . The only complaint is that they had the people with the water mister to spray water to cool down the temperature, but only saw them when the park opens and no one since then till the end of day.
Nha P — Google review
This park was amazing! Best time to go is during the week if you're trying to not see a ride line. The food is over priced but the portions were pretty good. The animal exhibits were great! The family had a wonderful time.
Anthony G — Google review
Fantastic theme park! The roller coasters are actually exciting. (unlike Disney cough cough)As with any theme park, there's a lot of walking and the food/drinks are expensive, so prepare for that. Busch Gardens also doubles as a zoo with lots of wild animal exhibits.
Noah D — Google review
Be prepared for outrageous amusement park prices. Bottled water was $5 and soda $7.5. The parking was outrageous as well and waiting for the tram in the heat just adds to the annoyance of the high pricing. They definitely need to add some more rides to get the wait lines down unless you want to pay crazy money for quick pass. In addition, need more covered waiting areas for rides as the heat drains you fast. Glad they had buy one get one tickets otherwise would've been really big ripoff.
Brian G — Google review
I had an amazing time at Busch Gardens! The park is packed with exciting attractions, but Sheikra stole the show for me—it’s hands down the best ride there. The thrill of the 90-degree drop is unbeatable, and I couldn’t get enough of it. The rest of the park is a blast too, with a great mix of roller coasters, animal exhibits, and beautiful landscapes. Even just walking around and taking in the atmosphere was fun. Busch Gardens really knows how to deliver a fantastic day out, and I’m already looking forward to going back!

Had a great time!! The Safari was SO amazing!! We got to see many different endangered animals and the giraffes came up to our open truck and they gave us big lettuce leaves to feed them! We got amazing pics and memories! The roller coasters are next level! Great fireworks display at the end of the night!

With 2 million visitors annually, the park offers shady forests and several miles of nature trails for hikers and bicyclists.andalso features an extensive beach area with crystal-clear water perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
This place is truly incredible. Beautiful beyond words. I highly recommend not parking at the beach but rather park at the state park entrance and walk to the beach, not only is this a stunning walk but you also avoid the parking fee. Many people chose this and we are definitely glad we did. Get here before 10 am to avoid most of the crowds that follow in after. Lovely nature walks and also perfect for bike riding. Bring your camera for sure.

We came in from a land locked state, my kids wanted a beach. We came here and it was perfect!! It wasn't too deep, but good enough to make the older kids happy. They had so much fun finding seashells. We saw Sting rays, scallops, crabs, hermit crabs! Lots of bathrooms, showers, some trees for shade.

Pretty cool spot. Although man-made, you can really see the beauty that is in nature. Good place for everyone but if you're with family, your wife/girlfriend might not like you or other males in the family seeing other women in bikinis because there was plenty of that.

The park itself is beautiful and full of trails. There are plenty of places to park, walk and overall enjoy nature. The causeway and beach are spectacular and worth seeing. The beach has an option for rentals.

This beach is one of my top 3 in Florida for swimming, kayaking and other activities. It’s a Beautiful beach! My family went swimming and searched for shells then we went on the other side to kayak. Very kid friendly. The attendants have a stand where you can rent kayaks and water bikes for a reasonable price and they provide life jackets as well. Be sure not to go out when the water is choppy because it will be harder to paddle back in and the current will drag you under the bridge like it did to us! lol! It was still a fun experience and we’ve been back to kayak several times!

Really enjoyed the beach access at this park. I imagine there are times when this place is packed, but when we went there was a minimal crowd. There is good amount of beach to share. The park also has a good amount of shelters to use.Parking at the beach is $5. They also have umbrella/chair combos available to rent for the day.

Fred Howard Park beach is in Tarpon Springs Florida. It’s a beautiful beach to spend the whole day on. There’s bathrooms and areas to rinse sand off of you. The parking is limited so go early. It’s $5 a car load pay by credit card at a meter. There’s no concession stand so bring lunch. We love this beach!

This is a beautiful shaded park for biking, walking, or gathering as there are plenty of trails and picnic tables and lots of green space. I used Picnic spot #3 and it was perfect for a large gathering with two extra long charcoal grills and 5 picnic tables under a shelter. Very shaded, directly across from the playground/restrooms, and even had a beautiful view of the water! The picnic shelters are first come first serve, unless they are reserved. You will have to walk or drive the long connecting access road to get to the beach from the park. The beach has restrooms and pay to park. No dogs allowed on the beach, but I was able to walk my fur baby along the road going up towards the beach and she still had a good time in the water.

This park was highly recommended and did not disappoint! Parking was easy, the bathrooms were decent, and the beach was beautiful. We went after 6pm, and there were not that many people. The views were gorgeous! There was a playground and lots of walking paths too.

This is one of my favorite go to beaches while visiting Florida. It's so peaceful and beautiful out at the beach. The palm trees give shade for those who don't like to spend as much time in the sun. I can't say anything about the trails at this park since I've never walked them, but everything looks like it is very well kept up. If in the area I recommend checking it out. FYI you have to pay to park at the beach area. There are restrooms where you can change out of your clothes at too.

I really had a great time. Loved the shade from the palm trees. The beach is beautiful. I chased a crow away trying from getting another beach goers snacks.

I was an artist participating in a Paint Out. My friend and I found a scenic view to paint. There was a picnic table nearby just off the gravel trail. We saw a dolphin swim by and several people walking dogs. There was a large pavilion and a building with restrooms a short walk away. Plenty of parking.

Great park, great location, very clean, the staff are very nice, we went there for an event and everyone was nice and laid back. We liked how the park is in the middle of a residential area and not in the middle of nowhere.

Beautiful relaxing park to spend the day. The beach is clean and well cared for and you feel like you are on a tropical island. You should go with your own food and drink (but please don't leave litter behind) as there weren't any food options in February.

Beautiful beach with lots of parking. I loved that there was no smoking on the beach and the palm trees made great shade since we didn't have an umbrella. The bathrooms were actually really nice and well ventilated.I did a horrible job taking pictures so they don't do it justice!

It's a nice drive in and the walk to the beach from the parking is close. They had a lifeguard. The beach is more like a warm lake though. I recommend water shoes cause the whole bottom is covered in seaweed and they have a little pathway to walk through if you want to go further out.

If you're looking for a daytrip that will both fascinate and entertain, the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs are perfect. With miles of wide sidewalks and plenty of restaurants and shops to visit, this is one attraction that you wont want to miss.
Took my mom on the Odyssey dolphin tour to Anclote Key State Perserve to look for shells and enjoy the beach. We found lots of shells and enjoyed the island. This trip was around $25 and worth it. They have drinks for sale on the pontoon boat. The tour guide did a great job explaining the area. We even saw one of the divers looking for sponges.

I made a little trip to Greece this weekend by visiting Tarpon Springs. The restaurants were lively, and a reason to visit. It's not going to take more than 4 hours to see everything and have a good meal. It is also family friendly and can be explored at any price point -- from free walk around to a big shopping trip.

We went in mid-January (so off season) but thoroughly enjoyed the scenery without the crowds. You can feel the influence of Greece in all of the stores and restaurants aligning the docks. People were super friendly and our meal and service at Hella's was top notch. Recommend stopping in just for the experience if you're in that area of central Florida.

Take a step into Greek culture in this quaint Greek Town of tarpon Springs. Friendly people Amazing Fresh Foods and so much history. This def is a slice of Greece right here so authentic makes you feel like you’re really there. Wide variety of Greek foods gyros, spanakopita and let’s not forget their amazing fresh baked breads and desserts. Shopping here is great too from fresh sponges and so fresh they even still smell like the ocean lots of unique finds here. They even offer a boat ride out to where they harvest the sponges. Another amazing thing is if you’re a movie buff like me they filmed some scenes of the movie Dolphin Tale here. Definitely a must see. Happy Exploring!!

Great little waterfront town to explore in Florida. Excellent quaint little shops, not like your typical commercial beach front stores. Also, definitely plan to eat some authentic and delicious Greek food amd desserts while visiting.

Cool place to visit with lots of shops and restaurants. Shop owners are fairly helpful. Slower in August and September. Busy in January, February, and March. So if you're looking to avoid crowds, aim for the fall. Parking is a bit of a pain. No free parking anywhere. Most parking lots have a big sign offering day rates. There are a few that are as low as $3, so unless your desperate, avoid the $8+ ones. Also, bring cash. Almost everywhere takes cards, but there's an upcharge anytime you use a card. Most prices are cash prices.

The famous Tarpon Springs sponge docks do not disappoint. Do note that it has succumbed to the standard tourist shops, and half authentic food that has plagued every historic Florida beach town. However get there early like 9 am as everything opens. All the old sponge boats are unloading drinking coffee and friendly. Great to see it still normal and functional in the morning. Park on Roosevelt st by the rou d about early and it will be free, 2 lots and street parallel available. Stop at Hellas bakery for iced coffee and baked goods. Check out Sponge Diver Supply for clothing and souvenirs. Staff are amazing and friendly.

Dinosaur World is an open-air museum situated in Plant City, Florida that boasts over 150 life-sized dinosaur models nestled amongst indigenous flora. The park is located between Tampa and Orlando and has an entry fee of $20 for adults and $15 for children under thirteen. With a Fossil Dig and Boneyard exhibit, Dinosaur World caters to visitors of all ages who are interested in exploring the prehistoric era.

It is best to think of this place as a nature park with dinosaur statues and a few activities for the kids. It is a good place to go when the weather is nice and you just want a relaxing few hours. You can bring a picnic basket, walk around the trails, read the placards about various dinosaurs, and enjoy your lunch. It has some activities for young children such as a kids train ride, playground, and mini golf.

So much fun! We were there on a rather hot day, but there are places to stay cool (buildings, shady areas), plus places to buy bottled water. Lots of cool dinosaurs to see, worth the admission price. The carnivore walk may be intense for little ones, but will be a delight for slightly older kids. Lots of great photo ops and educational without being boring. While the Lake George Expedition Dino park still holds the number one spot for me, this is definitely a five star outing. You could easily spend 2+ hours exploring.

Took my son for his 3rd birthday (should have went a day early for a free ticket).Dinosaurs are cool to look at but a lot costs extra. I wish everything would be included in the price, since it's already pretty pricey. My son had a good time but was disappointed we didn't have a train ticket (we thought we purchased one at the front)Did enjoy it was dog friendly, so our pups got to join for the day.Pretty much a one and done deal, no desire to go back again.Bring your own water and bring plenty, NO water bottle filing stations at the restrooms. Was cool they had it decorated for Halloween.

Our 2 year old son and 4.5 year old daughter absolutely loved this place! Despite the rain and heat, they had a lot of fun seeing all of the different dinosaurs, walking through the indoor areas with museum displays and a few animatronics. There was a little play area and a few add-on attractions as well. We got through it pretty quickly since our kiddos weren’t as interested in us reading about each of the dinosaurs, but it was still worth the money.

Definitely fun and must go if your little one is a fan of dinosaurs! We had a blast.BUT the activities (fossil dig, excavation) are HOT. There’s no fans, no air flow, no breeze and it’s probably 30+ degrees hotter than outside. There’s no water available on the trail and the vending machines are cash only.Be sure to bring fans, tons of water, and snacks otherwise you will not have a good time.

Our visit to Dinosaur World in Tampa left us with mixed feelings. While the concept of seeing life-sized dinosaurs was exciting, the experience fell short of expectations.Firstly, the park boasted a variety of cool dinosaurs to observe, but disappointingly, some were missing or under maintenance during our visit, which detracted from the overall experience.Another downside was the relentless onslaught of mosquitoes throughout our time there, making it quite uncomfortable to explore the exhibits without constant distraction. Moreover, the lack of food and water for sale was a major drawback. It seemed like a missed opportunity for the park to enhance visitor satisfaction and generate additional revenue. Adding these amenities could potentially attract more visitors and encourage longer stays. On a positive note, the gift shop was a highlight. It offered a variety of dinosaur-themed souvenirs and memorabilia, which was enjoyable to browse through. One commendable aspect of Dinosaur World is their pet-friendly policy, allowing us to bring our furry companion along, which added a nice touch to our visit. In conclusion, while Dinosaur World has its charms, such as the impressive gift shop and pet-friendly environment, improvements in amenities like food and water availability, as well as better maintenance of exhibits, would greatly enhance the overall visitor experience.

Surprisingly well laid out and clean. Great for families with smaller kids. Nice paths.... short and simple train ride.... reasonably price compared to others these days. Most of all, my children loved it. They have a dinosaur themed playground that the kids enjoyed thoroughly. How is this place not better known?

Great place to visit and take family. Love the winding paths that you can travel down at your own pace. Beautiful setting. They do not have a place to eat and while the large gift shop carries water, you are welcome to bring your own cooler and the local pizza place delivers here. They are more then happy to invite you to eat in the lovely picnic area with whatever food you bring in. Very helpful and nice staff. Easy to get to right off of I-4 and plenty of parking.

We had a great time at Dinosaur World! So many dinosaurs to see and a cute little train. They have a small splash pad area, two different playgrounds, and a little place to dig (extra $), and two little walk through museums. Its nice and shaded throughout the park but can get extremely hot and humid in the summer and a little buggy. I wish they had fans near the picnic tables at least for the kids to cool down and eat a snack.

Very nice!! Mom, daughter and 4 grandchildren aged 9 years to 10 1/2 months!! Rode the train, played in the fossil dig, fun on the good sized playground, took a cooler with drinks, sandwiches, chips, snacks... you can take a stroller or wagon for kiddos, lots of entertainment for everyone, mini golf...... great gift shop nicely priced... a very good bargain! The store says 2 hours but we could easily stayed for 4 hours!

This is the coolest place to visit with kids. Easy to spend a good 2-4 hours here taking in all the sights and Activities. The outdoor boardwalk of dinos is really cool, and there are two large playground areas for younger and older kids- including shade structures! Don’t skip the museums- both have really neat exhibits. You can easily check out the place without the extra paid activities (mining, train, fossil dig), but also worth it as the kids loved it! We came expecting to spend 1.5-2 hours, and ended up leaving after 3 hours- but could have stayed longer. Plenty of picnic areas throughout to bring a packed lunch. Only negative is summer time is HOT and lots of bugs, but that’s Florida! Pest control strategies might be a good investment to lessen the bugs just a bit! Would love to go again during winter when it’s cooler out!

Highly recommend if you enjoy walks outside and/or dinosaurs! We paid for the full experience, which includes a train ride, fossil dig, and gem sifting, along with admission to the park. The earlier you arrive the better. We went right when the doors opened and by the time we left, it was packed! This place is amazing. All kinds of shade and vegetation. Tons of dinosaurs spread all around. Cool eating scenes. A few animatronic dinosaurs at the beginning. Can feed tiny fish for $1. They have a huge gift shop full of rocks and fossils and all kinds of dinosaur related things. I wish it was closer as I would keep coming back, even if to just enjoy a nice walk!

This place is amazing! They are always adding new things to see and experience. My kids grew up in this park and always want to visit when we are in central Florida. Pay the extra for the dig and gem strike. The gift shop is pretty amazing too so expect to buy something there. They also have some cool vending machines. Their park equipment is on point. If you have kids under 12 take them here! As of 2024 spring you are allowed to leave and comeback same day with wrist band.

We went a few years ago on a field trip and it was alright, my kids were 4 & 5 then. They had a good time. We just went again (they’re 8 & 9 now) and we had a blast! You can tell they’ve been revamping. They have new things to do, added dino skeletons to the museum (super cool btw) and now a splash pad which was perfect for this Florida heat. Lots of cool dinosaurs EVERYWHERE. Definitely bring bug spray, a couple cold waters and a lunch to enjoy at the picnic tables.

Always a good time here. Peaceful, clean and a very beautiful environment. Absolutely love this place. It’s also one of my favorite spots in Lakeland.

We stopped on our way back to our friends house after a tasty lunch. This park is stunning. Plenty of spots to take photos. I wish we had a park like this back home.Palm trees, benches, waterfalls, a small pond/lake with Lilly pads, and of course bugs.If I lived here I'd be here taking photos all the time!

Very nice public garden on the southern end of Lake Mirror. Free to walk around, with a great variety of plants and flowers. Would be a good location for a portrait shoot. The Garden Bistro was next door was awesome for Sunday Brunch.

This park is a beautiful place to take your family or just a nice date for you and your partner. HOLLIS GARDEN is very peaceful. They have spots where you can sit down and enjoy the tranquility. There is so much to see and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The view on Lake Mirror at night is picture perfect.

A small botanical garden with a grand view of the lake in the front. It’s seems like a popular place for people to take photos of weddings and other events in their lives. Best place also for TikTok. Parking is small but additional road side parking

I recently visited a garden that offered a delightful experience. The vibrant murals featuring butterflies, with flowers such as milkweed depicted in the artwork, added a burst of color and artistry to the surroundings. The garden is free to the public, which makes it an accessible spot for everyone to enjoy. There are some shaded areas, providing relief from the sun, making the visit comfortable even on warmer days.In addition to the murals, I came across various plants and aquatic life. The garden had lush green grass and a koi pond with beautiful fish, enhancing the tranquil environment. I also found an interesting snail shell during my visit, adding to the overall charm of exploring nature. The entire garden can be explored in about thirty minutes, which is perfect for a quick yet refreshing escape. For convenience, there is a public bathroom available at the bistro on the property, ensuring that visitors have necessary amenities close at hand.Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a brief, enjoyable outdoor activity.

In February 2024 I married my beautiful wife here, and the gardens were perfect, the Maintenace staff were extremely friendly, explained everything to us, and gave us no issues. The whole day was great, and I would highly recommend Hollis Gardens for anyone else looking for a wedding venue in Lakeland.

Very beautiful, beautiful little garden. Well worth the walk through! It's right next to the main lake, downtown, and all the shops! Well kept, lots of flowers, fountains and places to sit and relax

This is a beautiful sculptured garden that borders a lake with interesting spots for multiple age groups. While there, there was a wedding rehearsal, to take advantage of the beautiful settings. The gardens offer ideas on how to group various plants.

Absolutely beautiful scenery, immaculate amount of seashells for a park. So much wild life and places to see in one walk.

This is such a beautiful garden. They have so many areas to sit and relax and look out on the lake or sit and appreciate nature. This is a small garden so not much walking but they really maximize their space and take care of all the plants beautifully they have many plants that attract beautiful butterflies and bees as well. Outside food and drink are not permitted.

This is a review of the Hollis garden in Lakeland Florida.I believe this to be a city maintained park garden that is surrounded by office buildings and restaurants etc. They have a fireworks display at 4th of July late at night from the center of the lake.Is a long walk around but absolutely stunningly beautiful as the lake is filled with various fish, turtles and there are birds, ducks and swans everywhere. We were here on vacationing visiting family but I would have to say if I lived in the area I would be here constantly it's free to just walk around there are playsets for children, we encountered several friendly people who were walking the perimeter for exercise along with others who are just out for a stroll in their lunch break from offices I assume based on the way they were dressed everyone was in good spirits it was not crowded and fairly neat and clean.

Weeki Wachee Spring, located along the Weeki Wachee River in Florida, is a magical destination known for its live underwater mermaid shows that have been captivating audiences since 1947. In addition to the mesmerizing mermaid performances, visitors can enjoy activities such as boat tours, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, kayaking to spot wildlife like manatees and dolphins, and zooming down waterslides at Buccaneer Bay waterpark.
Amazing experience! We loved the mermaid Christmas show. Doors open 30 minutes before show start. We got in line early to get front row seats. After the show we got a photo with the mermaid and walked around. The water is clean and in the 70s. Today was a beautiful day and wished we brought our bathing suits and towels to hang. Many of the shops were closed. Will come back for sure!

Nice natural spring. My boyfriend & I visited here for my birthday. We rented kayaks and kayaked the spring for the day. It wasn’t too crowded. Parking was easy. Wish it was closer to Tampa. Would definitely come again. Got to see some manatees while there.

This is a FANTASTIC state park. Attractions are kid and family friendly, the shows run on time, the admission price is reasonable, and the restaurants and bathrooms are clean!Admission as of 9/2023 is adult (13+) - $13, Kids (6-12) $8, kids 5 and under Free.Get a map and schedule upon entrance and make sure you see the Ranger show, Mermaid show, and boat ride. Fill the time swimming in the lagoon, floating down the lazy river, or riding the water slide.
Courtney K — Google review
My favorite place to kayak and enjoy the day in nature. I love the spring, the manatees are beautiful and it’s nice when the current brings you back. Go and see for yourself, there’s so much peace out there.
Michelle P — Google review
The mermaid show is the fun part for all the kids. Manatees watching by boat ride is not to miss. Water rides are another attractions for kids. Must go for first time.Tip:Plan for spending 3-4 hours and go early in the morning and try to grab the early mermaid show as the lines get longer later. You want to get the center seating spot in the show.

Great old school spot. Historic mermaid show! nice spring to swim, float, or yak in.https://linktr.ee/greenthumbanthem

Very nice area to float and kayak! Water is super clear, and you can see the bottom most of the way. A lot of fish and wildlife and we even seen a manatee! Hospital hole was pretty cool, and it looked like it went down a good ways! All and all pretty chill experience, and we'd love to do it again!
Haven D — Google review
This is a great springs to visit with young kids. They have the mermaid show, that our children loved, waterslides, a very small lazy river, a jumping platform, and a playground. This is a VERY busy springs and not ideal for relaxing, you also don't get to see the headspring and are limited to swimming in a pretty small area compared to other springs. Check out their rules before you go and more than likely if you go during a holiday or on the weekend they will reach capacity very early, if you plan on going during that time plan on getting there 2-3 hours BEFORE they open.
Nikki B — Google review
It's extremely crowded and if you rent a kayak they shortened the trip by almost 3 miles but the price stayed the same. You used to be able to swim but now they won't let you get out of your kayak. I'm glad I went a few years back and was able to really enjoy the spring.
Rachelle C — Google review
This is such a cute place to take your kids! The mermaid show is so fun and entertaining! Although, the park does close early. There are only two water slides, but there's free lemonade and water! There's a lot of lifeguards and the place is very secure. There's also a little kids pool which is a bit boring and lame, but it's still fun for kids!! There is a food stamp and snacks, also a store. It has such cute little bathing suits! The bathrooms are so clean! The sand is nice and clean. The water is also nice and clean but the water is cold. The food is not really expensive. There's also a bar. There's a lot of trees and there's even kayaking! But that's in a separate place and you have to pay a separate amount of money for it. Overall, I would recommend this place! Just that if you're going to go to the water park side, make sure it is a WARM DAY! Or else you WILL BE COLD.❤️🩹

For my first time there it was beautiful I wish I got to see more of the park and experience the shows but my two little ones got worn out from swimming. I Love that there was a little area for the kids my kiddos for sure enjoyed being there. Lot of chairs to sit but get taken very quickly if your not there on time. Same with the picnic tables.Food was great enjoyed the burgers and chicken tenders with fries not to bad on the prices compared to other places. The lazy river if I’m not mistaken you pay $10 and are able to go as many times as you want. The shows come included with your ticket purchase but it’s first come first serve and it shows the times so you’re able to make them on time.Restrooms were scary not clean what so ever. But I don’t blame the park do believe someone should be better on top of it yes. But all that nastiness is honestly the people they need to do better I don’t understand why grown ups have to be so disgusting especially at state parks amusement park etc.Don’t bring your own speakers you’re not allowed to play your own music. As well no big coolers allowed.Tents are only allowed to be set on the grass but there is a limit on how big they can be.Over all my experience was great I personally had a lot fun just wish I would’ve saw more of the park like I said but will sure go back next time just with my husband to get that full experience.
Rita S — Google review
We had a good time, we did the boat tour and checked the beach area out. We did miss the Mermaid show because we got there late and essentially had to choose between the boat tour and the Mermaid show.

Weeki Wachee Springs offers a magical experience with its enchanting Mermaid Show, where performers gracefully swim in crystal-clear spring water. The spring itself is stunning, with refreshing, clear water perfect for swimming. The serene boat ride through the lush surroundings adds a peaceful touch to the visit. It's a unique and unforgettable destination in Florida.

Very pretty and pristine. I would not go in July and August as it will be very hot. Early morning and while schools are open are best times to be there. Enjoy.

Beautifully clear water was my favorite part, though there were plenty of other fun activities at this park. Hands down the strangest state park I have ever been to, don’t expect a big wilderness experience. Regardless the experience we did have was enjoyable.
Arianna N — Google review
Absolutely beautiful spring! The water is crystal clear. Great place to bring kids and family to swim and have a great time. Nice sandy area and relaxing chairs to lay down on put your stuff down. The water slide is only open on the weekends, and they have mermaid shows every day at 11:00, 1:30, and 3:00. Very nice spring in Florida to come to and have a great time.
Cale C — Google review
It's very economical, the good thing is the food options. Slides are closed on weekdays. Something that we missed. Mermaid show, ranger show and the boat ride is what we did. We had good food options that we enjoyed, and did some swimming in the end.
Laxminarayan K — Google review
Had a nice time here with our 4 year old daughter! Unfortunately, the water park was closed for the season, but we enjoyed the famous mermaid show and other activities like the boat ride (we came so close to the manatees!). Overall, it’s a great park, parts are a bit dated but the park seems to have a lot of history. The playground was also a nice touch! We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality from the cafeteria/ restaurant.
Patrick C — Google review
This is one of our favorite places on earth and we keep coming back! For a very reasonable entrance fee to the park you and your family can enjoy swimming and lounging at Buccaneers Bay and 2 mermaid shows. The water from the spring is refreshing, pristine and clear. The slide is included in the price and you can bring your own cooler of snacks and drinks. The mermaid show is as charming as can be and will leave you touched. We really like the one about the history of Weeki.
Alison S — Google review
So much fun and so beautiful! My kids and I had a blast. You can bring coolers into the park. The spring water is chilly, but not too bad. My favorite part was swimming out to the floating doc, looking down into the water, and being able to jump in.

Sights & Landmarks
Showcase of Citrus is a picturesque orchard that offers tourists the opportunity to pick citrus fruits, along with other activities. Guests can visit an old-fashioned country store and engage with various animals on-site. The tour includes a commentary from a humorous guide, while food trucks offer delicious meals at reasonable prices. However, some visitors may find the cost of admission steep and the ride uneventful for younger children.
A fine plan B to theme park excursions. You can’t go to Disney everyday. Not only it’s financially feasible, but the hustle and bustle of theme park visits will catch up. This farm-like attraction is just about the perfect option as a theme park alternative. This place might be slightly far away from your hotel. But it’s so worth your make that extra 20 minutes drive, because you might have great 2-3 hrs of unique amusement. There is no entrance fee to this place. You don’t have to spend a dime to enjoy here. But spending some $$$ for some experiences, like the world’s largest 4x4 ride is quite an experience. There are plenty of food and beverage options as well and all are reasonably priced.I am looking forward to come back during colder months for orange picking experience.
Richard Y — Google review
It's a unique experience but a little pricey. The your guide was funny and overall a great guy! I really enjoyed his commentary and personality. The ride itself was average and not very fun for the younger kids. The best part of the tour was the driver.I heard they rerouted us because the 4 wheel drive wasn't operational due to parts that they were waiting to become available. I understand that, it's just too bad that neither truck had the ability to go off road. The food trucks were fantastic!!!! Fair prices for big portions. I highly recommend getting food from them.Lots of animals to look at and I teract with. Kids of all ages enjoyed that the most. You can pick oranges, amount a few other activities.

This is a good place for kids outing. They had lots of fun playing in the park, petting and feeding the animals. However, we are disappointed that citrus plucking is not available at this moment and as per the front desk, information on the website is outdated and we have to check their social media page for correct updates.

Loved this spot! So many fun things to do especially for the kids. They have a variety of animals & I love that you can ride on a Monster Truck to see them. They have buckets of food so you can feed them as well. The honey that they sell tastes so good! I recommend to check out the store inside! Would come back! 😊

This is such a cute, eclectic marketplace with farm and exotic animals! They've got fresh juice, orchards, lots of things for the kids, local and small business wares and even a bar. We were surprised to see a selection of wine from a small winery that we lived near in Indiana! There's really something for everyone, but my favorite part was the squealing piglets and their sassy mama. :)

This place is amazing!!! I had more fun here than at universal studios, they literally have everything! Great food options, drinks for adults and kids, so many different things to see and do including riding on a MONSTER BUS, feeding all sorts of animals including zebras, camels, and more! This is my new favorite place near Orlando, FL!

Great experience. Fun ride in a huge truck with a bit of education about oranges, Florida, animals and a few other things. After the ride there is a playground, a place to feed animals and food trucks.Food trucks were solid. We ate at "Food for the Soul" and the food was great. Also tried out the orange slushee and it was great!

Friendly and helpful staff! I didn't get a chance to go on the four-wheel bus ride, but I did get to see all the Cute Critters they have. Love the fact that we can feed them. Food is available on site. So please don't feed them any old thing they're on a special diet. We got to go there when the little pigs were just tiny! I will definitely be back!

Everyone was friendly from tour guy and his sister that allowed us to sample honey and jams. She was very pleasant. Nice location kid friendly. The lady checking us in for the tour was not friendly, talked very fast as if she didn’t want to help or didn’t want to be there. She was the first interaction we had and it wasn’t pleasant. The tour guy made up for our experience. Walk with cash to tip tour guy because he was great.I would visit again.

Absolutely adore the updates they did to the new facility area. Our children from age 3 to 13 had a wonderful experience from feeding the animals to picking the "pineapple oranges".*The only downside is there is a plant in the Orange Grove that is toxic and packs a punch of pain when touched called Heartleaf nettle please beware!!!But all in all we will definitely be back soon.
Elena W — Google review
A good farm worth recommending. You can visit the poultry, such as chickens, goose, cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, etc. for free. The main product of the farm is citrus, and there is a picking service during the harvest. At that time, there were all kinds of jams for sale. The whole farm feels very retro and full of rural smell.
Yongqing C — Google review
We love visiting Showcase of Citrus! The staff is lovely and a joy to chat with each time we’re there. My son loves to seed the animals, which are all very friendly, and play in the playground area. The property is beautiful and so much fun to spend a few hours at. We have made this a weekly trip now!We also visited during the holidays and got to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause. They were so so kind and took so much time to make my son feel comfortable before taking a picture teacher. It was a top notch experience that we will surely be back to year after year!

Great way to spend 3-4 hrs max away from all the hustle and bustle of all the theme parks. Staff are generally friendly. Everything is a la carte when you come in - pay for what you want to do. The monster truck is $25/adult (free for veterans). It's a good idea to buy your food bucket before you get on the monster truck ride as you get to feed some of the animals while on the truck ($4 cup, $10 small bucket, $20 for the jumbo bucket) The small bucket is just about a good size for one person to feed the animals whether on the monster truck ride or just walking through their free to pet gated/fenced animals. If you have more than one person, the jumbo bucket is probably the better way to go. They have a small store with hand made soaps, candles, home grown honey, and some wine. They also have a bar area with plenty of drinks and slushies to choose from - drinks can be a bit on the pricey side if you dont pay attention though. My frozen margarita was about $14 - I was caught a little off guard as I was expecting it to be $8 per the sign, but I guess that was for a smaller cup. They have capybaras, donkeys, pigs, kangaroos, peacocks, Joe camel, zebras named Barcode and Scanner, steer, goatals, flemish rabbit, friendly cats, and many others. They also have food trucks on premises and plenty of unique antique items to see. They have citrus picking during the right season. They also have events for Halloween themes and other things - check their web site. I would recommend this to those who want to see another part of Orlando other than Mickey, Univeral, etc. (Clermont is not far from Orlando at all.)
L R — Google review
I had stopped by before to look at all the stuff they sell, but I had never done the monster truck tour so my mom and I decided to go one day for something to do. I had no idea what to expect and honestly thought it might be a little silly or cheesy, BUT it was actually really cool!! It was fun seeing (and feeding!) all the animals and learning about all the different citrus varieties they have! I had no clue! And of course it's fun to shop before or after! I bought some honey that is amazing!

Fun thing to do for the whole family. Truck ride is very informative and our driver Mike was awesome! He told interesting stories and facts about the citrus farm. Fun for the kids to feed the animals as we went along the route. The rest of the farm is great too - with a cute gift shop and other animals.

Free to go in. My 2-year-old grandson loved the sandpit and animals. Tickets available for 45-minute tours on the safari bus. Probably best to book those in advance on weekends, holidays, etc. All in all a great outing.

This is one of the best things to do in Central FL with kids! They have a petting zoo where you can feed animals, monster truck ride, the best desserts, a playground and seasonal orange picking. Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park West Entrance is a beautiful park in Florida that offers hiking trails, bird watching, and picnic spots. It serves as a sanctuary for wildlife that cannot survive in the wild on their own. The park provides educational programs and tours to learn about these creatures. Visitors can enjoy tram rides, encounter friendly staff, visit the gift shop, and see manatees, birds, black bears, hippos, foxes, snakes, and fish.
Up close and personal with some of Florida most unique animals. So many wonderful birds, fish, cougars, and even a hippo. Yhey also have a Florida black bear. Easy walk with lots of stopping to view the animals. I feel kids of all ages would find this place exciting.

I enjoyed this place. I loved the butterfly garden. We took lots of pictures of butterflies and other neat bugs! We got to learn a lot about manatees and watch a manatee feeding from below water level. It was very cool. The spring was beautiful and the water was crystal clear. You can choose to pay a small additional fee and take a boat ride to the sanctuary of you'd like. It's pretty neat. There's more information given on the boat.

If you are visiting crystal river then this place is a must for families and anyone that loves animals. They have the famous hippo "Lou" who if you're lucky might see bathing in the water, he is huge ❤️. The whole facility is well maintained and clean and the walkways are paved and perfect for strollers. There are plenty of shaded rest spots to take a break from walking. There is a cafeteria with burgers, fried and ice cream and also a small gift shop to pick up your souvenirs.

Absolutely worth the stop!We took the pontoon over, and the tram back - and highly recommend others do too. Our boat guide, Nick, was very informative.Hippo, manatees, panther, bobcat, eagle, osprey, what more can you ask for.The underwater observatory was cool and will be even cooler when they replace the glass.5 🌟 all around.

Great animal park all with Florida animals except for the hippo. A good chance to see the manatee although we didn’t see any in the lake when we were there. A wooden boardwalk leads you through all the animals in the park. You can park at the Visitor center and take the boat or train to the entrance or, as we did, park opposite the entrance gate itself on Fishbowl Dr.
Paul E — Google review
It was great. I don't suggest doing the underwater observation due to a strong smell of mold. it seems they had a window break at some time. The whole thing needs to be replaced.
Celeste D — Google review
With two locations to park at one being the main entrance and the other on the main road. This park offer the most unique and diverse experience. The park is mostly covered and has a manatee Rehabilitation Center there. There is also a platform where you can go underwater to see manatees. The park also features a 40 something year old hippopotamus. There is a Crystal Spring in the park that comes up above the manatee platform. There are two sides to the park the manatee and the water side and the zoo side. You go right to the zoo and left to the manatee platform.

Clean, well cared for animals, love the boat ride in and the tram on the way out. We had perfect weather and a great day while visiting. The volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. And the Hippo is fabulous ♥️

Many tourists . Definitely needs to be upgraded but absolutely worth the visit. A must see if you are in the area. Many animals . Love Lu 🦛♥️ & the Manatee's & Bear etc. Only barely discusses the early Indians but not specific enough about who what Native Americans were there initially.

Got to see the Manitees. They had 5 in the sanctuary but we only saw 4. It was also the off season for viewing. So we call it a win. The boat and tram are fun, use bug spray. If you are there when they do the program at the bleachers,, do it.

Beautiful place. Boat worth the 3$ one way. The tram is free or you can walk the 3/4 mile to the site from tbe welcome center. It takes about 3 hours to see it all if you take your time. Walking is easy and wheelchair accessible. Very clean.

A hidden gem. The atmosphere was homey and the various animals were interesting to see some being rehabilitated to be released back into the wild. The resident 60 year old hippo was totally unexpected.

There are 2 separate visiting centers, one right off the main road which has a nice gift shop and restaurant and you can ride boat or tram from the first location. The second visitor center is closer to the wildlife area and water. Both areas are beautiful and have plenty of parking. The park closes at 5:30pm. Tram runs every 15 minutes. Definitely recommend checking this park out.
Janet S — Google review
Great place to take the kids and see some animals. The park entrance is 13$ por person adult and 5$ kids under 11 years old. I really had a great day with my family there.
Elianny M — Google review
While it is pretty at times, the park needs some help. It was not worth the price to us. You can easily park at I believe the west entrance and just walk into the area with the animal part. You don't have to go to the visitor center and take the boat or the tram. The boat only takes you through a little creek. The animals have small enclosures and there is not many to see. It was honestly kinda sad. Two manatees in the sick tank area was it. If you go make sure your going late November if you want a better chance at the manatee. We didn't even see the four manatees that live year round in the park. Reptile room is one small room with one fat cotton mouth and about 5 other enclosures. Fishbowl is going to undergo renovations it looks like. Kennels for your dog at the visitor center was a major plus. If you need to get out of the house with the kids this would probably keep them entertained. Easy to walk with strollers. Snack areas and bathrooms at both entrances.
Maddy M — Google review
A favorite stop for our family when in the area. There are so many animals in the park but seeing all the manatees in the winter is definitely our favorite.
Bryn S — Google review
2 adults in our 40s and we loved this place. Came in January and no one was there. Def do the boat ride. Enjoyed seeing and learning about the rich history of old time Florida-and catching a glimpse into the past Today. Saw manatees around the observation deck. Then eat at Skinny Tortuga afterwards (great local food truck).

Although California dominates the wine industry in America, Florida is also home to an exceptional winery that produces its own label. Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards boasts reasonable prices for both individual bottles and cases of wine. The staff are accommodating, especially for those with strollers, since there is a second-floor tour available.
If you want to spend a relax day in a beautiful picturesque hilltop! This is Theo la e to be. We enjoyed live music, free wine tasting and tour. They also have food on the weekends. Very well recommend.

We had such a great time. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We did the complementary tour then relaxed outside while listening to the live band. Make sure you bring your own chairs and a blanket to sit outside. The employees were very friendly. We had a hamburger, it was not the best, but it was alright. I really liked the environment. I recommend this place for a nice and chilled afternoon.

Awesome! Beautiful area, and a super educational tour. The wine tasting was very interesting and helped us decide our favorite flavors. Highly recommend!

Free tasting and tour! What more can you ask for? The tour experience itself was really fun. Our "tour guide" was very funny and energetic.Personally, the sweet wines made from the muscadine grapes tasted better than the dry ones. I saw many people taste testing pouring out the dry flights. They should just focus on the sweet ones where they grow the grades themselves instead.

Went this past weekend with some girl friends and we had such a great time! It is such a cute location we couldn’t believe there was a hill in Florida! Felt like we were in a different state. The wines were so tasty! All of the employees were so friendly! Planning on going back already!

Lakeridge Winery has a great location in the hills of Central Florida. I’m not a fan of the Muscadine grape, so I felt the wines were quite biting and acidic. But if you like the Florida grape, try this out! The staff was informative and pleasant. They do allow dogs and have free wine tastings after the facility tour.
Megs — Google review
Wine smashing was fun, but seeing the packaged grapes nearby kind of ruined the fun of it a bit. Wine is okay, the sweet ones are better, the dry (my preferred) were underwhelming. Enjoyed the free self guided tour

This is such a pleasant place to visit! The wine & entertainment are wonderful, but what I found to be a beautiful part is the kind spirit of the employees. One in particular is Miss Olga! A beautiful soul indeed!Thank you, Lakeridge, for a wonderful time! 🥰

Just left from here. My husband and I had an amazing time. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The woman that gave us the tour was the best, very funny and full of life. Very kind, even gave my son some corks to play with so he wouldn’t be bored during the wine tasting. This was our first wine tasting and I learned a lot about the swirl, sniff, and sip. If you have the time, please visit. The tour was great! Delicious wine

You can bring your own chairs, blankets, or tables to set up your cozy spot on the lawn and enjoy the live music. The selection of food and drinks available for purchase is top-notch, with something for everyone's taste. Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed, but the offerings at the commissary are so good that you won't even miss them! Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a lovely place to unwind, Lake Ridge Winery is a must-visit destination in the area. Highly recommended for a laid-back day of music, good food, and great wine!"

Lakeridge winery is a fun place to go on the weekend. Nice music outside to enjoy your glass of wine. If you are like me who doesn't drink but wants some good food. They have it. It's very good and great service. You can sit outside under some oak trees a see the vineyards. If like you can see there wines and have a taste learn about them. Fun day.

My husband and I enjoyed the complimentary tour and wine tasting here. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. If we hadn't had a flight in two days, we definitely would have bought some wine or other goodies! Definitely a nice place to stop if you're in the area.

Amazing experience! We did the tour/tasting and our girls took us on a tasting journey. So much fun and so full of friendly energy. If I lived closer I would spend way too much time in the loft, hanging out and overlooking the vinyard working on my laptop all day... such good vibes here. Love almost all of the staff and almost all of the wines! Try the mulled and be ready for flavor explosion!

We absolutely loved it! The second we walked through the front doors we were treated like we were family! All the staff made us feel right at home! The staff was very knowledgeable and we learned so much from them while we were there. Everything was very clean and organized, the bathrooms were immaculate. The tour was free, and the wine was delicious! We can't wait to go back in the summer to see the vineyards in full bloom.
Melanie H — Google review
I really liked the free tasting/"tour" through the winery but I didn't really like any of the wine. I know it's a personal preference thing but the "wines" grown in Florida are way too sweet for me. And the wines they cultivate from California just don't hold up to California bottles around the same price. At all. I do think the FL wines are fairly priced though and I think the extra/reserve tastings were a very good price, as were the cheese trays (though I wish they were curated and not just out of a boar's head box). The store is the best part about the place though! So many unique gifts and food/wine stuff that I've never even seen! The concert venue outside was nice as well, though it's weird that if you buy a bottle in the winery you can't enjoy it on their lawn.

Absolutely amazing visit !! Free parking and tour .Guided Tours and Tasting are offered 7 days a week starting at 10:00 am each day, with the last tour offered at 4:00 pm. Tours usually run every 30-40 minutes and begin with a 10 minute video presentation, which guides you through the entire wine making process and the history of Florida wine.

Awesome place to have a great time, wine tasting and a picnic. They have a humongous area that you’re free to enjoy, bring your folding chairs or blanket and have a nice picnic with their charcuterie board and their food. I’ll definitely be coming back.

My family and I really enjoyed this winery. It’s one of the best we have visited. The tour and tasting were complimentary which makes it even better. They do yours all day long so you can show up with out reservations. You will walk up stairs to a room to watch a video on the history of the winery. Then walk around and see where they make the wine at. If you want to see the vineyard in full bloom it’s best to go during the summer time. We can’t wait to return to check out their weekends at the winery! Very great place to visit with family from out of town that love wine!

Visited this winery on my birthday and I have to say it was a 10/10 experience. They have offer a great tour which by the way is FREE , great staff that’s knowledgeable about the winery and any questions you may have. It’s such a beautiful property and must experience. Although I’m a sweet red wine person trying all the other wines they offer was also a great experience yes at the end they offer FREE wine tastings definitely worth it. Definitely will be back in June.

Wildlife refuge
Nature & Parks
Three Sisters Springs wildlife refuge is a popular destination during winter for viewing manatees from the boardwalk due to its clear water. Although the park's entrance fee may seem expensive, visitors can capture beautiful photos and witness these creatures up close. It's important to pay attention as manatees blend in with the rocks.
This is such a beautiful place to kayak and snorkel. You can't get on the rocks or the land but you can jump out of your kayak and snorkel around. We then used a rock that was out in the water to hoist ourselves back into our kayaks. We also kayaked around out in the river and saw manatees out there. Definitely would like to come back and swim in this area again in the future after they open back up.
Cheryll H — Google review
Such a beautiful place! Lots of people,So going maybe on a weekday early is better, but still magical and our kids loved swimming in the refreshing cool water. Sadly we didn’t see any manatees this time, but did see a water snake as we were heading back.
Carrie S — Google review
Beautiful! Not too busy. We visited on a Tuesday early in the afternoon. We paddled in from Hunter Springs Park. You can swim there between April 1 and Oct 31, but you need to tie off your boat outside the spring entrance because you are not allowed to put your kayak on the rocks/shoreline. (Unfortunately, we did see people doing it, though.)Three Sisters Springs is a NATIONAL wildlife refuge. We want to go back and visit by land. You can not launch any paddle craft within the refuge. And you can not paddle into it from Nov 1 - Mar 31.It was beautiful but a little tough to get to. If we go back, we'll paddle from a different direction (not through King's Bay. Be forewarned, based on the signs the big boat tragic is busy on the weekends. We only encountered a few big boats, but we went on a Tuesday. All in all, they are lovely springs worth seeing. <3
June A — Google review
We have mixed feelings about this. We loved the manatees, the springs the clear water. The boardwalk around it is nice and clean, I believe the refuge area are trying to do a good thing. We would love to be able to interact with the manatees but we don't. It's for their own good. We understand. I'm guessing the park people are volunteers. A little unorganized it the entrance. Maybe having a bad day,but no problems. Beautiful area. The BAD. the commercialization is very sad, there were over 100 swimmers in the springs with these manatees. Commercial pontoon boats lined up in the canal dropping off and picking up swimmers. It's disappointing. Such a beautiful natural area being corrupted like this is sad. I'm glad the refuge is mostly protected, but I wish they would make it off limits to swimmers and companies doing this.

Three stars for the beautiful scenery, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by overzealous volunteers. We expected a serene paddle through nature, but instead encountered a few volunteers who seemed to have taken on the role of kayak police. We were scolded twice for simply turning around in the water, and at one point, a volunteer even emerged from the brush to reprimand us for taking photos of turtles. We’ve enjoyed springs across the region, but the intrusive presence here was off-putting and disrupted what could’ve been a peaceful outing.
Valerie L — Google review
If you look carefully while riding across the bridge, you might be able to spot manatees swimming through crystal clear water under the bridge. We parked the car, walked back, and were blessed to see a mother and baby gliding along. ☺️ They were on their way to join a whole community farther along, up near the shores of the Ellie Schiller State Wildlife Park. What a very special experience!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Three Sisters Springs in Florida is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the crystal-clear waters and the natural beauty of the surroundings. The springs are pristine, with stunning turquoise waters that make you feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. The springs are well-maintained, and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing insightful information about the wildlife and the ecosystem.Kayaking through the springs was a serene and peaceful experience. The water is so clear that you can see fish swimming beneath you, and the lush vegetation around the springs adds to the enchanting atmosphere. Whether you're swimming, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the view from the boardwalk, there's something magical about this place.Three Sisters Springs is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and anyone looking to experience the beauty of Florida’s natural springs. We will definitely be back!

We boated here from Pete’s Pier which was challenging in the wind. We saw a few manatee on our way over and loved the springs! There’s a lot of monitoring of the space and it was pretty crowded. Today there was only one manatee there so we must’ve just missed the season (today is April 4th and the season typically ends around 3.31). Either way: clean, gorgeous and magical!
KJ S — Google review
Beautiful wildlife refuge area with several hiking/walking paths. There are some shaded areas but more areas that are not. So, bring the sunscreen, hats and bug spray. The entrance fee was $12/pp. There is a shuttle that can transport you to different areas of the park. At the entrance they provide a map with the different locations. The bathrooms are new, clean and have cool running A.C. The lookout points onto the springs will allow you to see the beautiful crystal river, manatees and kayaks in the water. *You cannot enter the water through here and you cannot launch your kayak from here* but you can enter these springs through the waterway by launching from other locations nearby (like hunter springs) with a kayak, paddle board or canoe.
Kimberly A — Google review
Don’t bother coming right now. The $20 per person entrance fee is steep, and kayaking or swimming is prohibited due to “manatee season.” There weren’t any manatees to be seen during my walk through the trails. I don’t understand the point of keeping the park open under these conditions—they should just close it to prevent people from wasting their money.
C — Google review
We had scheduled a boat trip to see the manatees, but came here first. In walking around the boardwalk and seeing so many, we canceled our boat trip. This preserve is beautiful. I love that the waters are roped off completely to keep people out of the waters to leave the manatees alone. It was really exciting to see some young calfs in there too.

beautiful place. great for paddle boards and kayaks. we have also taken our small boat around in the more open areas.

We had a wonderful late Mother's Day. We used Hunter Springs kayak they were fantastic!! Took our kayaks to amd from the push off. The springs were absolutely beautiful.

Crystal clear water! If you go to the gate entrance, you can pay about $12 to walk the boardwalk around the springs. If you want to get in the water, you need to rent a kayak or have something to enter the springs from the outside. No swimming or water entry from the boardwalk. We rented kayaks in town and took them into the springs to swim. Bring snorkeling gear if you have it!

I love this spring. We spend our 32nd anniversary here. We walked around the whole place and enjoyed seeing some manatees, Aligator, and people Snorkling with manatees. The water is so clear and so inviting. We also had an opportunity to attend a botanical tour and learned about different types of plants that are around the park it was very informative. I highly recommend this place to visit. If you decide to come, make sure you read the website. This place is part of National Wildlife Refuge.See all the photos attached for prices. If you have a National Park Pass and Military ID, it could save you half of the prices of the general public entrance fee.
Lanie Y — Google review
Excellent, excellent, excellent! In January and February, this is the place to see manatees! In most places, you are so far from the manatees that all you see is bumps. Here, they can be just a few feet away (if you are lucky). The boardwalk goes all the way around the hot springs and part of the inner coastal where they hang out.
Sandra V — Google review
Beautiful park! Multiple viewing areas to see Manatees and crystal clear springs. There is a shuttle to get to the springs or a decent walk from the parking lot. It was pretty crowded when we were there but worth the crowd to see these beautiful animals
Donna D — Google review
The real Garden of Eden. I recommend bringing or renting your own paddle board and taking the 15/20 min paddle from Hunter Springs over to this oasis. We spent 3 hours there just swimming, relaxing, and commenting on how this was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been!We went on a Wednesday morning/afternoon, great time to go because it’s not too crowded.
Jill A — Google review
Very cool to see so many manatees so close. The park is very confusing to get into. You have to pay, drive down the road, park and walk back to the manatees. Terrible set up. They had clean restrooms. They had staff there to answer questions. It was very crowded so don't expect a peaceful stroll. Nice accessible pathways with ramps.
Wendy — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. Kayak in and swim in the crystal clear water. Its a little cold but you get used to it. Even swam with a manatee. Definitely recommend!
Dena M — Google review
Beautiful place definitely worth visiting. We launched our paddle board from Hunter’s Springs Park and paddle to the springs, it’s a super chill paddling, we were lucky enough to see some manatees. The springs were beautiful, you can swim as long as you don’t touch the rocks nor tie your vessel to any tree or sign. There are volunteers there making sure that no one does it. After that, we kept paddling and we went to King’s spring, there’s a bar around there where we had a snack before coming back to Hunter’s Park
Candela A — Google review
Great clear water in one section the deepest. You can kayak or swim in from the entrance by water side only not on the trails they have they gated off. State Park guards are constantly yelling at people to get away from edges, and making up stories to get you away from where they want you to be it’s overall odd. Found out this is the only clear water left in Crystal River due to they took out all the invasive flowers that was actually filtering the water, why they let that happen is a puzzle to me if they are so environmental. Crystal River is no longer clear.

The Swamp Adventure Tour was awesome! We had parents who were apprehensive about them going. I'm so glad they went. It was safe, and the captain was professional, funny and informative. We were able to touch and hold the alligator as a part of the package. The place also had cabins. We didn't stay there but everything was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. We have about 15 people in our 6 mixture of kids and adults.

This experience was fabulous - we had so much fun! We’ve been on a couple tours as fairly frequent visitors to the area, and this has by far been our favorite! The experience was well organized, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the captain was informative and made it a great time! The ride was also more exciting compared to others that didn’t get up and att’em quite as much. :) we brought our friends visiting from Slovakia who also really enjoyed the one-of-a-kind experience!Overall, 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back!

Quick trip to visit family down here in Florida, and they suggested we go on an alligator tour... We went to the right place! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and yes, we saw alligators; big ones, medium and babies. Even if we hadn't seen all of the alligators we did, the scenery was worth it.. what a great tour! I wish I could add the video of the swamp… it was “wow!”💚

So much to see, great tour, fast, smooth, fun boat and an experienced guide/ captain who loved sharing his lifetime experience and knowledge of the spring fed lake, swamp and gators. We even got to hold a live gator for pictures with no extra fees! Highly recommend, a must do!

Captain Frank was amazing! We’ve been on a LOT of air boat tours and this was definitely the best! Water was really high from a recent storm and it was really hot out but he still found a couple big alligators and some baby ones. We learned a lot about the history of the area and you could tell he is passionate about sharing this. He made sure we had a blast and got us the perfect amount splashes to cool us off. Highly recommend!!

Thank you so much Captain Frank at Swamp Fever Airboat Adventures!!! You gave us the most informative airboat ride and you found lots of gators in their natural environment to show us and educate us on! Stacey was awesome to deal with and helpful with my brother Tom. And he loved holding Luke at the end and learning about him and the work you all do!

The Captain was great! Very knowledgeable and had a great personality!! The Dad jokes were on point. We didn’t feel like we were on a strict time limit. He took his time and showed us a ton of things. Very fun tour and the first one for my kids and my Dad who LOVED it. The area outside with the pool table and games were nice to kill some time before your tour as well. Thanks for an awesome experience!!!

My first time on an airboat and very happy we chose Swamp Fever for this adventure. Saw lots of gators of all sizes from babies to large mom and dad as well as a ton of birds and turtles. Our driver/guide did a great job of pointing out where to look. Finally, the lake itself and the offshoots from it with all the cypress trees is beautiful. One more thing, you get to hold a baby alligator at the end of your trip. Highly recommend

There are a lot of options for airboats in this area, but this was in my opinion the best. The captain was very knowledgeable and the team was super friendly. I was very impressed. My students had a great time. We saw a few alligators and got to hold one. I will be coming back.

We came to Florida to visit with family and we decided to take this tour. We had a blast! We saw a few alligators but even if we didn't, the tour itself as well and all the fast turns was worth it! For the first time experience it was totally worth it, if you’re in the area and have the time definitely add it to your todo list, captain was cool and engaging throughout the tour. I would say that it is a wild life tour so please understand that animals don’t always work on human scheduling, none the less although we didn’t get to see one of the huge alligators we did get to see some of the juvenile and baby ones along with some birds, fish and turtles. Definitely a worth while trip. Also getting to hold the baby croc before the tour was definitely a great experience.
Nathan L — Google review
Cool trip, the captain went really fast for minimal splash, but that was kinda unfortunate considering we sat in the sun at 95°f for an hour. Ended up getting a pretty bad sunburn to see no gators, since it was so hot. Go there in the morning or at dusk or you'll be disappointed... 150$ to get burns and not see what you came for

My family and I had an amazing time at this airboat tour. The staff was very friendly and helpful when checking in, directing you to restrooms, meet up points, and there is a gaming area to wait in until your time slot. Sydney the front desk associate was amazing! She accommodated our needs and went above and beyond her responsibilities. My AC wasn’t working when we arrived, she immediately had maintenance take care of the issue, though it never worked, she switched my room and put me into a better location with a better view of the lake. Sydney also gave us great recommendations on food and must do while in town locations. The town is amazing and the people are great! This location is conveniently located near great food and drinks! Will visit again! Omg the rooftop view is to die for.

Fantastic location! The staff was amazing. The rooms are roomy and very clean! We enjoyed our balcony view from the 3rd floor of the main building. We had no issues with noise, and the breakfast was more than adequate for a continental breakfast. We will definitely return!

I would not recommend anyone stay here. Very bad experience overall. Deadbolt was broken, furniture was stained and dirty, bugs were absolutely everywhere in multiple rooms. Cleaning people never once came over the multiple nights that we stayed. “Breakfast” is just microwaved self-serve. I would rather stay at a cheap chain hotel than this place. I would at least say the staff were nice if it weren’t for the redhead lady at the front desk. Just terrible.

This is a cute and unexpected resort on the shores of Lake Dora in Tavares, FL - they are the seaplane capital of the world. Lots of bars and restaurants. Great little coffee shop. The rooms are above retail space in three separate buildings. Our balcony overlooked the lake and we watched seaplanes take flight. Room was older but HUGE and very quaint. It was very quiet at night. We had a minor issue with the TV but a maintenance guy came and took care of it immediately. Bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Easy check in/out. Free breakfast was just okay. Pretty typical of hotels. Our only concern was to get to the elevator in our building we had to enter through a rather sketchy back door off the parking lot. It was just a screen door but the elevator required a key card so it felt safe. We will be back.

Everyone should stay there at least once. It is the luxury for the those that like it toned down a bit. Spacious rooms. Friendly and accomodations staff. You can actually meet the owner...He will actually help you with your luggage. I love the hands on approach..
Yvette J — Google review
The rooms need attention. First, there is no patio table, so when you sit outside, you don't have anywhere to sit your drink down or eat your leftovers. Second, the chairs outside are so old that I almost went thru to the floor. Third, the beds are so soft that I woke up with a sore neck. Maybe the owners should spend the weekend and see for themselves what I am talking about. When I spend $200 plus a night out of season, I expect the hotel to be perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful.

If you are there to party and not care where you crash then its perfect. I paid more for a lake view which was a lie. I was in a building furthest from the lake. The room was dirty. I had to wear shoes until getting into bed or my feet would be black. No one sweeps or mops. Just take a look up at the exhaust fan in the bathroom covered in dust and know they do not clean. The bed sounded like the frame was going to break any minute. The elevator was disgusting and dirty. It was very noisy and crowded. We had no place to park by our building because it was taken over by the people attending the bars. I would NEVER stay there again.

Suggest reading other reviews on this place to see patterns. Not super happy with this place.Absolutely the rooms were clean, decent sized and all amenities worked well (shower etc) but the decor is old and there was a continuous dampness that I could not put my finger on. Kind of like a humidity in the room. For example my shoes would feel very slightly damp putting them back on.There was a cheapness to everything that seemed to be trying to sell itself as an upgrade. For example breakfast was included but it was all cheap pre wrapped, pre packaged, pre processed foods of debatable nutrition. See the pic of breakfast items.I drove to a diner the second day so I could have eggs and better coffee. The tables and chairs were the portable plastic type. The staff asked me for a credit card for incidentals and I thought they meant for a mini bar and snacks but it was for damage that you or your pet do to the room.I didn’t stay in the main building so I can’t say what the quality is like in those rooms but I feel it is completely misleading to have the word ‘Resort’ in the name.Maybe the main building is nicer?Had a few bugs in the room & could hear music from the bar downstairs but it was not bad enough to stop me sleeping on the 3rd floor.I would not stay here again given this experience. I paid about $260 for 2 nights.

Awesome and affordable. From the very start, checking in was a breeze, the woman working, very informative, and professional demeanor with kindness and a smile. The BEST thing,I had dropped my debit card and THANKFULLY they turned it into the front desk instead of keeping and trying to use it!!!Surprising perks, but i know to bring my flavored creamer next time. 😁

I've stayed at the Key West Resort many times. I love the location on the lake. It's convenient to both coasts ( 1 1/2 hour drive). Both Sydney and Dani at the desk are great. Both ladies are very helpful to resolve any issues, as well as very welcoming when I check in. And ( as with ANY place I've stayed), there are small issues. But nothing so drastic that I would not come back.

Location was great, service was pretty decent, and rooms were showing their age. Appreciated the location being at the heart of this downtown little community. So cute and fun to visit the restraunts and watch the seaplanes.Service was good but it took me nearly 30mins to check in. It was about midnight and they were having issues with their credcard machine. The lady checking me in tried 3 times to reboot their system and though was very apologetic, it took a long time to check in. In the end she was not able to get the computer working and had to take take a photo of my card and said she would work on it in the morning. The rooms were a good size and had decent accommodations but they were definitely a bit worn. The toilet papper holder in the bathroom was about to fall off the wall, some of the caulking ar I u d the shower was very dirty, and there were several scuff marks on multiple walls. I'm not a fan of writting poor reviews, but my hope is the hotel owner may see this and spend a little money to make some small improvements that would certainly help the place appear much nicer. It doesn't need a ton of work, just some minor improvements would be a huge help!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! You will regret it!! Furniture was stained, bugs everywhere, blood on the shower curtains, pubic hair everywhere! Most of all there was a sign saying that the room has been cleaned but it doesn’t meet Florida state standards. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I was at the Doghouse next door watching Randall Crawford featuring Christina Sardone. Did not stay at the Key West resort but from those I know who did, really enjoyed their stay. Where I was on the other hand was a great time, live music, great pours, fun atmosphere.

The place is very nice. However, the bar attached to the hotel has a large outdoor patio with a stage. They played music at night outside and it was so loud it vibrated our room which was across the street. We could not enjoy our balcony or the pool, let alone relax or sleep in the room.Watching TV was barely possible as the loud bass meant we had to turn up the volume. The music went on past 10:00pm at night. Will not stay here again.

Did not go to Hotel, Dog outdoor Restaurant for 33 years trio. Very good music.Had Shepherds Pie ??? Was not the greatest, no smashed tatersIn middle. Had to eat with Fork & Knife, really messy & greasy.

What a dump. I have no idea what classifies this as a resort. Location is waterfront and the front desk ladies were friendly. The buildings are run-down. Big drywall patches on the walls in the room, dead bugs in the sink, TV didn't work, breakfast was a joke.
Kristen K — Google review
Overall quite nice place. Huge, clean and modern room. However after band quit at 9pm DJ in lounge in same building was initially so loud the bass was rattling our balcony windows. Front desk did what she could to help, though not effective. We finally ourselves talked to the DJ and he turned down some more. Still was thumping away past 11pm and going through my earplugs. Unfortunately because of this, will not be staying here again and do not recommend.

What a fun hotel! Spread out in 3 buildings on Lake Dora. Every room has a great view. Large clean rooms. Walk in closet to stash your stuff. Restaurant very good! Staff attentive.First floors are commercial (great coffee shop) and entrance to rooms is in the back of the building. Watch your step! You don't want to encounter the concrete parking barriers!Breakfast is adequate...go to the coffee shop!

Spanish Springs Town Square is a charming complex in The Villages, offering a unique blend of Southwestern style and Florida's local charm. This vibrant area features an array of boutiques, restaurants, performing arts venues, and a movie theater. Visitors can enjoy strolling through the square while exploring its diverse shopping and dining options. The square also hosts outdoor entertainment and lively dancing events daily at 5 pm. Additionally, the Sharon Theater presents captivating shows for those seeking cultural experiences.
This place is absolutely amazing! Lots of music, food, drinks! Entertainment every night on the town square 5pm-9pm. A must see and do! Golf carts welcome! They have other locations as well, such as Brownwood, Lake Sumter landing, and Village of Fenney.

The oldest of three squares and it seems like the powers to be don't really have a plan to rehab it. They started to do things them stopped with Katie Belles and the movie theater. Best part of the square is the 3td Saturday car show.I photograph Uncle Bob's Rock Shop and this is the worst of the three squares to shoot the band in. The Gazebo stage is a poor design way too small, too high and really poor sight angles even if your just watching a band. I've pretty much stopped shooting their shows here. They did some work on the actual square awhile back and they should have revamped/enlarged the stage.

5 HUGE STARS! Happy Veterans Days to all who have served and who served and, especially, to those who have of their life for this incredible and free United States States of America! Five stars! Where else can you go for live musical entertainment and dancing nightly, every single day of the year? Only at The Villages, Florida and here at Spanish Springs you'll enjoy the most historical of the 4 main Village Squares. Mom and I go a couple times a week about 6 p.m. and sit outside and enjoy the always entertaining and professional musicians. It's REAL entertainment and never second rate. You can BE YOURSELF at any age. Bring the kids and grandkids and you'll see them dancing to everything from Disco to 50's music from musicians that truly know how to entertain. Festivities end sharply at 9pm. Plenty of great eateries and places to shop in the evening. Have a drink outside at a cafe, then dinner at the steakhouse or just grab a burger and walk the beautiful town square. Mom just bought a beautiful townhome walking distance from the square as she loves it here and left North Palm Beach to enjoy her golden years even happier here at The Villages, Florida! I hope you enjoyed the honest review and if you'd like to see more let me know. Our heart to you and your family, Peter and Domenica

The Villages has so many entertainment options. Today was a gorgeous day to enjoy Bluegrass Blues at the far north town square.

Definitely a happening place in the evenings for live music cocktails and fun. Seems like there use to be a lot more restaurant choices in the vicinity, which appeared to have closed. Theater is currently under construction and I’m hoping to see more new restaurants come in soon. In the afternoon parking is a bit crazy near town square. I would recommend parking in the lots near by and getting some exercise instead of looking for parking for 45 minutes. All in all still a fun safe place to hang out in the Villages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely wonderful spot to walk around and enjoy what the area has to offer. When I visited, they were getting ready to celebrate St Patrick's day. It was so much fun. They had beautiful antique cars on display, and they were getting ready for a parade. Absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be back to explore some more of this area.

Went for the craft show. Great many different kinds of crafts displayed. Good place to buy gifts, interesting food or decorating items. The only drawback is the "Villagers" in their golf carts who let you know that they own the road, the town, the sidewalk, the sunshine etc, etc.

Visit this area often and enjoy walking, eating, shopping, and let’s not forget every day at 5 pm dancing in the square. People are usually friendly and they all have stories to tell.

Loved the architecture and the concept of this little town/village. Sadly, due to the age of the village, there is a lot that is being renovated and under construction, So we did not get to appreciate all of it. We enjoyed the restaurants, but never got to experience any entertainment, With the exception of the female singer at Americanos Grill, who was excellent!

Located in central Florida, Rainbow Springs State Park offers a natural spring and lush forest. The park is well-known for its gentle rivers and year-round 72 degrees temperature.kayaks, tubing, fishing, swimming, hiking and bird watching are some of the activities available at the park.
My husband and I went paddle boarding at rainbow springs and we loved it! Beautiful river! We didn’t get to see much wildlife but it was still worth seeing the crystal clear water.
Monica L — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this park by myself. Beautiful walking trails with man-made waterfalls were very peaceful. The water is gorgeous and I highly recommend paddling down the rainbow river on a shuttle run if you'd like to kayak or paddleboard. It's the clearest river you will find. There was lots of wildlife. This park is well-maintained and absolutely worth visiting!

You can find all your answers here before coming here. This place is so amazing to see one of the natural springs in Florida. Firstly, it's open all day, basically from sunrise to sunset, which sounds great! It's a perfectly clean environment with amazing natural sounds. Summertime is always packed, so I was able to visit in October, which made me feel like I was the only person in the state park. The weather here is a bit colder than in South Florida. The swimming pool area is a bit small, so it could be a problem during the summer for accommodating everyone. There's not enough flat space to sit on the ground for a picnic, but they do have a pavilion and a cafe. The restroom is close to the pool area. If you like, you can also do canoeing 🛶 or kayaking. Last but not least, it's $2 per person. Here's all you need:⭐️ Bring a noodle; the water is a bit deep, but you can feel secure.⭐️ Tubes are not allowed 🚫.⭐️If you have a cart, keep in mind that parking and the pool area are about a 5-minute walk away.⭐️Bring your snorkel 🤿 or goggles 👓.⭐️I highly recommend bringing a wetsuit if you have one; the water is around 72 degrees all year.⭐️Be ready to take amazing pictures!

While we didn’t make it in to the park during the daytime, the officer told us, “come back around 3p or 4p.” That’s when Rainbow Springs State Park would reopen. And….so we did!Beautiful and breathtaking views. The “watering hole” was jam packed with people at 4:30pm so I can’t imagine what it looks like when the park is at capacity. That said, we were able to enjoy some time in the very cold waters of Rainbow Springs.Definitely worth a stop and a return!! Canoe and kayak rentals are available, as well as a restaurant for eating. Learned that there are 3 waterfalls here so we went in searchEnjoy the pics!

A favorite place to go for a swim in cool clear spring water and to walk trails through waterfalls (man-made) but very pretty none the less. This is also a stunning river to see. It is very clear. The park can fill up early on a weekend, so you need to plan and arrive early as they close the gates once capacity is reached. There are clean bathrooms, not terribly modern, but clean and a very nice swimming area that is quite popular.Swimming-There is no beach area, you enter from a long floating raft / dock area. You do not get to swim over the mouth or openings of the springs, just in a large sandy bottomed area of cool, clear, spring water. You will not be able to touch bottom and stand, so bring a pool noodle if you want to float about with some support.**Do know the only floats allowed in the swimming area are the pool noodles. Show up with anything else, and they will not let you bring it in.Playground - Open SpaceI don't recall any kids' "playground". There is a large lawn with pavilions around for picnics and I often see younger people tossing a football around and such. Great spot to throw out a blanket and relax, lets the kids run and play. The whole park is hilly and those with mobility issues will find it difficult.Waterfalls and TrailsMany years ago this was a tourist attraction. They created waterfalls with the use of limestone and pumps, and they run still today. You can walk along the river and then through wooded settings that showcase these running streams and fountains. There are plants and flowers to admire along the way. If you go when the azaleas are blooming, it is quite nice to see.The information on the old tourist attraction can be found online, it is interesting to read up on. You can visit the old animal habitats and a few other bits and pieces left over from long ago.Canoes - Kayaks - etc.I believe you may be able to rent canoes and such from a company who works with the park. The S.P website should tell you.Gift Shop - CafeThere is a small gift shop and a little cafe. I have picked up a drink at this spot, but never any food as I always bring a lunch. I have seen many people eating there, so it is an option. The gift shop has your typical things and they do often have those approved pool noodles you may want and other swimming gear. The cafe is a slightly limited menu, but there are some options. I believe you can even get a beer or wine.I really enjoy the building these two things are in, it is limestone and stepped levels of seating that allow you to look out and down over the spring and river. It is very pretty. We often bring our lunch from the car up here, usually a few deli sandwiches, chips and drinks and eat here and that is no problem.FeesEntrance fee is minimal. I think around 2 dollars per person. The parking lot is separated from the entry gate that you pay at. If you want to go back to your car, you'll need to keep hold of your receipt to re-enter.

Best river I’ve been on. It’s so spacious where boats can idle down, love that it has a lot of depth in a lot of areas but some shallow spots that you can get out and relax. It’s so freaking clear and beautiful and lots of wildlife. Leaving from KP Hole they check coolers and drinks. No alcohol and Tupperware only. It helps the life of the river. This river is 10/10

Beautiful. Lovely place with waterfalls parking. But it was a little crowded has restrooms, food court, even some alcohol, nice little trails, not very long, though. Also has some hills be prepared if you plan on walking.

Experience is definitely the word to describe Rainbow Springs! The water is cool, clean, and clear. The paddle was great. If you have your own kayak, be ready to walk your kayak about a 1/4 of a mile with turns, downhill, uphill, stairs, and more walking. The website says no disposable items. We brought our food in containers. It is very beautiful. We saw 2 alligators. They did not mess with us. We saw an otter, turtles, fish, and birds.

The head spring with large DEEP swimming hole is here. Bring cheap noodle and snorkel gear! You have to tread water the entire time - nothing to hang on to. The campground has a small swimming area & it is not deep. Both state park & the campground have kayak launches and rentals. If you bring your own vessel plan on walking 1/2 mile to launch sites. There is a lot of green & brown algae. We saw gators, turtles, river otters! Large mouth bass, mullet, sun fish, gar. The BEST section to paddle board or kayak is from the State Park headspring to KP hole or state campground. Going any further down the river is pointless - the entire river is lined with houses and the water becomes more and more murky. We did the 6.5 mile run to withlacoochee river (with private company) that offers shuttle service so you can float down the river - NOT WORTH IT for me- I wish I would have instead spent more time in the beautiful crystal clear water in between the state park & KP Hole. There is a secret spring in between state park and KP Hole - don’t miss it! Most of the beautiful photos you see are taken here at the secret spring run. NO MANATEES here since they built 185 mile barge/dam 1965-1990 signed by President LBJ (linden B Johnson).

This is a hard one to review. We are happy we visited once but we wouldn't go again unless we lived nearby and then it would be for the park as much as for the beautiful springs. The entry fee was only $1 per person when we visited due to a limited discount by the governor. Normal admission is $2 per person. Can't complain about that. You are limited to what type of floats you can bring in so make sure to read about that. The main thing I would address is the fact that the swimming area is over your head the entire space. I saw a man step off the steps and down he went totally not expecting to go over his head. He was surprised. Also, many parents had children that did not have appropriate floats on. Because of not being able to touch bottom and the coldness of the water, most people just crowded around the dock and all the stairs and steps were blocked most of the time. We enjoyed going in the water and had pool noodles that we brought in. They are allowed. But, it is nice to be able to put your feet on shallow spots in most of the springs we visit. If I had children I wouldn't go here when there are so many other springs that have shallow areas. The park itself is absolutely beautiful, with waterfalls and a very nice paved walkway that is a 2.5 mile loop. Definitely worth a visit....or several.

Available picnic and barbecue areas.

Beautiful spring fed river. If it hasn't rain it's very clear- blue-green in color. Temp stays about 60-65 degrees so very refreshing in the Florida heat! Some natural wildlife. We went in via the tubing for the National Park ($26/person) where they drive you upriver drop you off and you float back down. They will allow you to keep your keys at the cabin where they load everyone up. If you want to pay extra for a cooler tube, a double tube you have to do it at the cabin or when you drive up to purchase tickets at the parking lot (no extra cost for parking). Snacks also available at the cabin. No disposable water bottles allowed on the river. Lasts about 1.5hr-1.75hr depending on water flow.

This was a beautiful hidden gem! We were extremely surprised by the cleanliness of the park and it was a great place to spend the whole day! The water was SO clear i felt like i was swimming in an aquarium. The water is pretty deep so if you or your kids are not great swimmers i recommend life jackets or floaties. I wish i could come back and bring a paddle board to further explore. There is also a short hike trail that is paved to go see some small waterfalls. It was pretty crowded on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of July but we didn’t mind.

This place is AMAZING. Beautiful. Spectacular. We rented a kayak and got dropped off up stream from there we paddled to the state park and jumped in the water and paddled downstream to the rental place/blue gator. Paddling up to the state park took about 30ish minutes paddling downstream took about 2 hours so be prepared, being lots of sunscreen and go early in the morning!!!! The wind is not fun to paddle against. If we were to do it again we would’ve gone out at 9am instead of 1pm!!! But overall Excellent Experience!! 12/10

Rainbow springs is always worth the trip! I’ve been coming here since I was little and they’ve done a great job preserving it all these years so that it’s always just as it was the last time. Sometimes it gets really crowded but we don’t care. Jumping in to breathtaking water is just what you need in Florida and sometimes you make some friends while you’re here! If you get a chance, stop by, admission is only $2 per person.

So beautiful!! You must know how to swim, the water was super refreshing (cold lol) but great for muggy FL weather. $2 per person. Also those photos were taken when the park was closing that is why the swimming area was empty. You can also rent kayaks which seems very cool, we were unable to do so as we arrived late at the park.

If you're planning to visit Florida, you should definitely add this beautiful spring to your list. The water looks absolutely stunning and the park itself is well-maintained and welcoming to tourists. The restrooms are clean and fresh, which is always a plus. I'd highly recommend packing your swimsuits and snorkeling gear, as this is a great spot to take a dip and explore the underwater scenery.Disclaimer : bring your sun screen and mosquito repellent when you visit this spot

We came just to kayak but we took the time to walk around. We went on a Sunday and the company that runs the kayak place got there late and wasn’t very friendly. Other than that it was a nice day at the park. Very pretty.

Better than I could have imagined! Definitely recommend the kayaking, I wish we were there for longer to do the all day kayak. The water is a lil chilly which feels so nice. Bring goggles/snorkel! $2 per person to get in is totally worth it. The water is so clear and blue and we saw lots of wildlife! I recommend bringing a pool noodle since the swimming area is 6ft+ in all areas.
Samantha W — Google review
We went tubing down the spring. Super relaxing and beautiful. Water was crystal clear!! Staff were amazing. For the price, you get the tram and tubes. For the three of us, it was around $84 for about 2 hours of floating down the springs. I'm definitely going back!! We also went to the headspring to swim, but it was at capacity. So we waited a couple of hours and went back. Unfortunately, the swimming area was closed due to lightning. If you want to go swimming, I recommend you get there early as it fills to capacity fast. Overall, it was a great experience!

Gypsy Gold Horse Farm is a must-visit destination when in Ocala. The farm houses beautiful horses, as well as goats, donkeys, and birds. The staff is informative about the breed and interact with the animals. Dennis, the owner, currently gives tours which provide historical context and evoke positive emotions. The cost per person is minimal for what visitors get to experience at the farm.
My husband and I visited Gypsy Gold Horse Farm last Saturday. This was, by far, the best visit of its type I have ever experienced. I knew about Gypsy Vanners thanks to a video some years ago and was enchanted by them. Dennis Thompson brings their history to the forefront and, additionally, presents a wonderful insight into the people who first developed the beginnings of this breed and who are, often, so misunderstood. Dennis presents history well and is incredibly personable and kind. When you leave, you feel you have a new friend.Whether you are just looking for a new and unusual highlight to a vacation, or are interested in becoming more involved at some level, Gypsy Gold is the place to go.We will be returning as often as we can. Dennis has some beautiful and wonderful plans for the future that are best described by him. Go. You will not regret it. You’ll get to meet, up close, some of the finest equine specimens on the planet. Take carrots!

Every corner of the farm resonates with the passion and dedication of the owners, making it a unique and memorable experience. You can feel the love and care that goes into every aspect of this haven for both horses and visitors. It is a truly special place where the owners' vibrant life and and connection with the horses shine through in every detail. Gypsy Gold farm is inspirational and educational. Dennis, the owner, gave us a wonderful overview of his history with all animals and focused on his connection to the Vanner horses and gypsies. My heart was touched by his commitment to his vision for these horses. I hope everyone will take the time to visit the farm - you will walk away inspired by the people and animals. Gypsy Gold Horse Farm is a beautiful property with a quite interesting history. The owner, Dennis, told everyone about the beginnings of the Gypsy Vanner breed including a great historical overview of the gypsy families that he spent time with to learn more about their culture. Dennis is an excellent speaker who kept us engaged with lively and humorous stories of his own personal life in the equine industry including the colorful cast of characters he's met along the way. Afterwords he took us on a guided tour of the farm to meet his menagerie of interesting and beautiful animals. The two hours we spent at Gypsy Gold Horse Farm was an enlightening and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

What a great day at Gypsy Gold Horse Farm. was so informative about the history of this breed of horse and how he originally brought it to America. Seeing them up close was very nice, along with the young colts. Well worth the cost and time spent there.

I took my Granddaughter and it was a great trip! Mr. Dennis has such a love for his horses, birds, mules, donkeys and mini donkey named "Patience"!! Our guide, Elana, was wonderful. She is knowledgeable of the animals. We were offered water and bug spray for our tour of the farm. I even found a Bryer horse in the gift shop for my Granddaughter. I highly recommend and will visit again!

The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is a place where rescued exotic cats, such as tigers, lions, and pumas live in a beautiful and sustainable environment. The ranch can be visited with guided tours day or night, during which visitors learn about the animals and their natural habitats.
Okay so the first thing you should know is that the park is smack dab in the middle of a low-key cute residential area which totally threw us off. When we pulled up we were expecting a backyard zoo because of the location, but man were we were wrong. They said they have 200 acres or developing, right now I'd say it's probably more like 8 acres that they actually have built up. You can tell that they are trying their best to give the tigers a nice life with waterfalls, swimming pools, toys, cabins. There's a lot more than just tigers here, they've got a very cute black bear, a black leopard, and some other small cats. Including their resident kitty cat that roams fearlessly. We went for the feeding experience and it was absolutely worth it. We got so many amazing pictures, and got to see so many beautiful big cats. This is an absolutely excellent place to come with the whole family regardless of age. Don't forget to buy some T-shirts at the gift shop, or a stuffed animal for the kids because that small places like this, every dollar counts towards keeping it running. We're excited to come back in a couple of years and see all of the progress that they have made. (We live very far away)

I had a wonderful experience visiting Catty Shack Ranch. The animals, especially the tigers, lions, and bears, were beautiful and looked well-fed and healthy. It was amazing to see them so active, especially during the feeding activity, which really brought them to life. Although the place is small, it’s run by donations and dedicated volunteers who were incredibly helpful and welcoming. It’s a great cause, and I highly recommend visiting and supporting their efforts to care for these magnificent animals. A truly unique and memorable experience!

Catty shack was BEYOND AMAZING!!!! Not as huge as a zoo but well thought out and a lot of information that definitely makes it worth while! Very clean and well kept! Staff are very knowledgeable, and definitely love their job!!!! Best time to go is when it’s feeding time because let me tell ya hearing a lion eat is amazing! So majestic wouldn’t want to be the food but just amazing to see them! Highly recommend you stopping by and checking them out! Huge thank you to the staff that made me kids day!!!!

We went for their night time feeding. We purchased the package that came with a shirt of your choice and a drink.I was pleased to see they had sugar free options for the snowcones. The tour starts off self guided, and I would highly recommend using the complimentary bug spray they have. The paths are dirt, so wear shoes you feel comfortable getting a little dirty in.There is a spot before you go back where the animals are to use the restroom which is a trailer style, or sit and eat or drink from the concession stand they have. They also have some chickens and cats that roam around. All of the enclosures look to be well kept, and you can see that they are replacing or adding new pieces to them. All of the animals have their name and a little history of where they came from on plaques. The volunteers are very friendly and interact with the animals. The evening was quite educational and fun to hear some of the big cats voice their opinions about sharing their dinner with us.The Catty Shack is not state funded, nor do I believe city funded, so they need all the donations/visitors they can in order to keep taking care of these wonder animals.I would highly suggest going for the night feeding tour.

I brought my family from out of state and we all had the best time. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly and love to help and answer questions. The cats are so well cared for, that you can see for yourself they are happy and content. They don't just hide and sleep like at the zoos. We will come back for sure.

I love this place! It’s very well maintained and the atmosphere is amazing. My 10 year old even said it was better than the zoo!

Absolutely adored this experience! It was only $15 to walk around (not watch feedings), and it was worth every penny. The cats are beautiful and there are many more than we were expecting! They have bug spray available on the tables as well, which was very nice (and much needed).Only caveat: wear shoes that can get muddy!!!!!

Nice but muddy. Take proper shoes due to wet mud while walking from cage to cage. 30 mins or so are enough to cover everything. Volunteers were very nice and walked with us to every cage explaining everything!

We love catty shack! Especially the night feedings. Our favorite is Spiderman because he is so vocal but love them all. We had a blast walking through. The animals are social and not like a zoo where they seem timid.

First time here and loved it! The staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. They have ongoing construction as they are expanding. Also plan to build sticks and bricks to replace some structures that are trailers. Lots of kids. Reasonable price and worth the experience!

We went for the evening feeding which, if you're into Big Cats (or not) is a great experience. All of the animals look to be very well cared for: shiny coats, energetic, and with nicely maintained enclosures. The real treat, though, is watching them come alive as they realize their feeding time approaches. They go from typical zoo lazy to running, jumping, playing, and growling. The volunteer staff are all nice and knowledgeable and clearly care about these beautiful creatures. I highly recommend the evening feeding!

It's a really cool place! A non profit big cat sanctuary that is a must go if you're in the Jacksonville area. They do great work for these endangered animals and the kids will love it too!

I really don't know why some people have given this sanctuary such low stars, this is a sanctuary not a zoo it isnt for entertainment! And do you think the places they got these animals from where better ...well that's a NO and we should be helpful that these animals have found a forever home :)The habitats are clean and well kept they are even adding waterfalls/pools to them !The staff/volunteers were so friendly and so informative !Please check out their Amazon wish list to help with items they need. They are a 501c and dont reveive government help !

These cats were well taken care of and they had a relationship with the volunteers they were interacting with. You could hear them chuffing & vocalizing with staff & they got excited when they saw them coming. It was educational and they were building even larger enclosures when we visited. The kids loved it! (Except when the lynx tried to back that thang up to spray my teenaged son for taking pictures too close...which made him drop his phone over the restricted fence line 🤣🤣🤣)

Miss Wendy was courteous, professional, and kind to my daughter and my grandchildren visiting from New York City. She was very well-versed and personally telling us the names, births and habits of the animals within the compound. I would definitely return when my other family members come to Jax, to visit.

I have lived in Nassau County and Duval County my entire life and have failed to make it here until yesterday. It was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be back. We did the enrichment tour which was really fun as the cats got really excited about the boxes of chicken and were super active. The volunteers were really amazing and told us all about the cats and their personalities/ why the cats are at catty shack. It was a great time.

Such a fun place to visit! Highly recommend coming for the night feedings. Not only were the animals more active but you also get to speak with volunteers/employees and learn so much more than usual. The shack also has 3 cute house kitties running around that are so sweet too - definitely pet if you see them! Very cool preserve and will be coming back to support in the future.
